Shaandar Curry House in Dundee City

Ordered food for our lodge in piperdam and was told it was 7 pounds delivery charge and a 45 minute wait which was fine as its out the way. After 1hr 30 mins phoned to see where my order was as others who were staying at the lodge had ordered after myself from other takeaways had their orders to be told I was the next order coming out and he would put a bottle of juice free on the order for the inconvenience. Another 1hr later phoned again as no food had arrived and was told the driver was just around the corner in which I replied I am not paying for the delivery as it has been over 2hrs 30 mins since I ordered my food. Another 20 minutes later the driver arrived with no free bottle of juice and tried to charge me near the full amount and said he took 2 pound off the delivery for being late in which I replied I ain't paying for no delivery as it is nearly 3 hrs since it was ordered in which he replied u are getting quality food. I then told him if he wasn't waving the 7 pounds delivery charge I wasn't wanting the food its upto him. The food was nice that was delivered but no way should anyone wait 3 hrs when told 45mins would give it 0 stars if I could for the service that was provided.

I held an event that Shaandar catered for and everyone absoloutely loved the food. The food was prepared and ready on time to be picked up and was still hot. The price was very reasonable and well worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to order.

Ordered tonight at 7pm...still no delivery at 8.30pm, phoned & was told the drivers car had broke down, I would have given them the benefit of the doubt had they not told me the exact same thing the last time they let me down with delivery...customer lost !!

Ordered a few hours in advance as we understood that the trip out to a Piperdam lodge may cause some problems. Restaurant cancelled 30 minutes prior to estimated delivery time. No call. Shoddy.

I've been a customer of shaandar for over 20 years..Best food out of Dundee..Quality, Quantity ,Cost and friendliness is off the scale...And the delivery driver I get is an awesome guy 👌 Well recommended

Ordered food here for a family night and it was made quickly!Changed my order over the phone after ordering the wrong thing and the guys where really helpful.Price was fab and the food was delicious!More than enough for your money.Would highly recommend!
