Just arrived here in the middle of a heavy snowstorm. Warm welcome - with tea and scones - from reception staff. The hotel is small but perfectly formed in the picturesque village of Bridge of Cally. The hotel is comfortable and well-appointed. The menu imaginatively reflects local produce from land and sea. Our room is comfortable and warm. For walkers, we are situared on the Cateran Trail. Something to look forward to tomorrow!

Nice restaurant. Really good food at competitive prices. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus for us. Will definitely return when next in the area.

Stopped on the way to Glenshee. Had an amazing lunch in the bar. Sat at the table by the fireplace. The atmosphere, the food and service is great. Would recommend.

A nice quiet country hotel in stunning surroundings, room clean and warm, lovely big white fluffy towels, tasty breakfast, dinner ok, staff with the exception of one very friendly, would visit again .

Very warm, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bar had a roaring fire, nice friendly and attentive staff and we had dinner in the restaurant. The black pudding, haggis and apple starter was fantastic, my main (fish) was OK, think it was frozen prior (although it's Spink, Arbroath fish) but can definitely excuse this just entering the second week of January and trade probably slow. Steak pie was fab as was dessert. Breakfast was really good, very filling. The room was lovely, best hotel shower and towels I've had in a while. It was quite quiet and dark in the room and I was surprised by this being next to road, if you open up the window you can hear the river roaring past. The carpet going up the stairs felt and looked new. The garden was lovely, I just seen it from my table at dinner and breakfast. There's a nice river walk just runs outside the hotel along the river. There's also the Cateran trail that passes by the other side. We walked to Blairgowrie from here. There's a car park directly across from the hotel.

Very much liked it. Three minor grumbles 1) the car park was lethal Icy I mean no gravel or attempt to de-ice it after two nights in the mountains we didn't fuss however an old person break's a hip and it becomes a problem. 2) there is a dozen aromatic candles scented sticks etc around the place, it makes my eyes water and be itchy and the aroma set's off my asthma really bad. 3) you can't check in before 3pm so be warned if you're cycling on a motorcycle or been skiing and you get there early you'll be out of luck!!.. However the clean rooms exquisite food and generally nice people made for a nice stay.

This hotel and staff were simply superb. My wife and I were made to feel very welcome by Janus and his wife Inga. The hotel was well run, very clean and the rooms were excellent. There is an extensive breakfast and evening meal menu to choose with the food well prepared and very well presented. There is car parking available across the road from the hotel. In general I would recommend this hotel and hope to visit again.
