The Downfield in Dundee City

Food was great ,lovely curries and great choice of menu .Had Lunch with two friend ,had Sirloin it was Superb .Nachos with chilli beef were amazing as well.Other friend had Chicken Tikka which he loved ,huge portions .Staff nice and friendly .Cleaner was having lunch and heard me saying how cold I was .She went straight away and got me a fan heater and pointed it towards me .Now that's service over and above ,what I would expect .Food well priced but heard a few people saying they wish there were half portions as plates are large for a lunchtime Menu .Could not fault food .Lots of choice and each one was amazingly tasty .xx

Garlic chicken tikka just melted in Ur mouth, huge portion sizes had to take some away, great value for money staff friendly will be back

Love docs, been going here for years, good food in the restaurant great sport in the bar and a good crowd behind the bar!

Haven't been here for a while, however more than pleasant surprise at the lovely meal and great service. Defo recomend.

First time ordered a carry out from here. Arrived 20 minutes before time given, by a luvly young lady. We ordered a mixed pakora starter and a calzone, all the food was very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. Recommend a visit / order carry out. Will use again, and hopefully visit. :) :)

First time there last monday, Staff very friendly and good at their jobs , good menu to pick from and a substantial Indian menu as well , the wife had Steak pie and mash with seasonal veg I had butter chicken with rice , both dishes were excellent , definitely be back again ,

Normally a great place to eat but on this occasion I ordered on line at 18:50 no e-mail within the 20 minute time frame to say they had my order repeatedly tried the phone number until I received an e-mail to say my order had been cancelled and I would get a refund in 1 to 3 working days. Very poor customer care 😢

Lovely food . Services however we had to find staff so we could pay. We had to ask for cutlery . We also never got asked if we wanted more drinks. Food was perfect though.

I had chicken from the grilled section with Chipotle sauce (there's a selection of sauces). The chicken was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely. The salad dressing was seriously beautiful and the chips were perfectly crisp. I had a cappuccino after my meal which again was lovely in comparison to other establishements. I wasn't happy with my corn on the cob, tasted strange and overcooked. My soft drink tasted different to what it should, not like your usual draft coke. Maybe pipes needed cleaning, not sure. I was happy with the service, all staff seemed attentive and polite.

The king prawn curry was one of the best I've tasted, beautifully spiced, plenty of large juicy prawns in a really tasty authentic sauce. I was very disappointed with the service, the waitress didn't seem to know anything about the dishes when asked and when my curry arrived it was chicken, not king prawns. This was rectified but it meant me watching everyone else eat while mine was being cooked, then I had to eat mine when everyone had finished. So it spoilt the occasion slightly.
