Staff were nice but service was very slow we waited a long time for food a couple actually walked out as they had waited so long we wouldn't hurry back

Small, cosy bar. Great if it's not too busy but would feel claustrophobic if full. Two stars because of food - it was terrible. Would not recommend if it's a bar meal you're looking for.

Great atmosphere, but the food was very ordinary. Dry fish and undercooked chips.

Very disappointed in service staff obviously have not been trained in bar work they don't even know what drinks they are serving. Must be the dearest pub in the ferry for drinks.

Eaten here many times before and been great, but this time food was appalling. Burnt, over cooked and over priced starters, cheap pre formed chicken fillets, not the standard I expect from this establishment. When we returned the food even the waitress admitted it wasn't their usual standard yet they were quick to charge us full price. Utterly disappointing.

Good food, great place to grab a drink or two and with live sport! Service always friendly so always happy to call in. They are also pet friendly if your four legged friend is with you!!

A nice homely atmosphere with a great selection of beers and great food. All served up by very friendly staff.

Had a great visit here with my father and little brother. It's a smaller/cosy bar with some great food. My dad had the curry which he said was delicious, I had the cheese platter with chips myself which was very good and also a plus coming from the cheesey. The man who served us, who I believe was called Jamie was very polite and also good with my little brother. Also had good service from the lady who was working, but I didn't catch her name. Will happily return on another day out.

Browsing around the almost Parisian feel of 'The Ferry' (as it's widely known)on the sunniest day this year so far, my lady and I walked into The Royal Arch at the northern end of Gray Street ... a well kept and obviously well-beloved establishment. First time for me ... but the wife, of course, had three times previously with three different members of her band of cronies, graced this fine pub with her custom and favour. We had fish, prawns, salad, chips, bread, bannocks and coke that were as good as the best of any pub ... but turned out even better for the rapid first-class manner by which they were served. The place was spotless and interestingly decorated with more than a nod to Art Deco and The Tay Estuary at the southern end of town. The joint was busy but capably handled by a pair of friendly astute young girls who ably constucted our path through post-lockdown pub attendance with serious aplomb. All in all, a great success. It's well refreshing to note that, at least in Royal Arch Land, value for money, creditable cheer, civility and the publican's traditional warm welcome are still around in these truly unconventional times.
