Beancross Hotel Restaurant in Falkirk

Worst Xmas Day dinner ever. They took nearly 3 hours to serve grey overcooked meat and 3 mushy sprouts in a cold gravy. Roast potatoes would have cracked your teeth. Had to ask for dessert as it simply didn’t arrive. After complaining we got a ‘free’ meal costing less than half the price of Xmas day meal which wasn’t much better. Wrong food brought, had to ask for cutlery, salt and napkins. Sat with dirty plates for 30 minutes and eventually had to ask staff to remove them and for dessert again. The waiting time between courses is ludicrous. A meal for 2 took 2hrs 20 minutes. Then they tried to charge us again. I have written 3 times asking for a refund of our overpriced Xmas dinner disaster, minus the cost of the ‘free’ meal - to be ignored by them.Larger tables were much worse off with their waiting times. Drinks? Take a bottle of water with you as the service is slower than the food.

Visited Beancross Farm with a friend and my wee boy. The food was quite nice, my friend ordered the mac and cheese with haggis and a side of chips which he said was nice and I ordered the feta salad with a side of fries. The salad bowl I felt was a little small and just full of quinoa for 9.95 it was ok but generous with the feta so that was good. The desserts were really nice. Cheesecake was white chocolate. Came with berries and either cream or ice cream.Food was alright but service wasn't the best, one of the staff members was great but other staff not as good. In fairness they had a couple of large parties in so it's understandable things get forgotten about. In fairness the price was reasonable for what we had.

Been there first time since reopened, lovely place, nice new carpets, furnitures and decorations. Food delicious and served beautifully presented, very nice and attended staff. Will definitely come back 😋😍

For the price I cannot complain about anything. Very friendly helpful staff. Very clean large room with very comfy bed. Food was really good.

Just had an excellent lunch at Beancross Farm - excellent by all criteria. Prompt friendly service. Very good quality food at reasonable prices. Excellent value for money.

The service was very good but unfortunately the food was not nice at all. We ordered the steak pie which comes with chips and seasonal vegetables. There were some soggy bits of veg in the steak pie meat and the puff pastry was rock solid. The chips looked and tasted like they had been cooked over several times. I wouldn't recommend eating here and we wouldn't go back.

I thought the food was nice enough but too over priced.. I had macaroni which I though was nice but too big a portion, comes with only one thin piece eh garlic bread.. a slightly smaller portion would have been better served with some salad or a few chips.. Both of my son,s ordered the sirlon steak,s which comes with one tomato and mushroom,s, one of them asked if he could substitute both tomato and mushroom for something else but was told he couldn't, so he paid £26 for only a steak. Don't think we'll be back

Food was fab and staff were so nice. We had a mixed party of adults and kids and we all loved the food.

Fabulous we all enjoyed our dinners, service was excellent choice of menu was extremely good, no room for desserts which all looked so tasty, will definitely be back when we are in the area.

We popped by the Beancross Farm initially for a coffee today (which was really very good!) but stayed for lunch because the wait staff were so fabulous.My very active 1 year old needed something to keep him occupied - they got him toys. There was no issue with him playing. Very much making the atmosphere welcoming and family orientated. In fact most customers today had small children in their group.Food was great. Sharing platter pic attached (some items missing because we couldn't wait!)Kids macaroni was amazing - best around. Caesar salad, steak sandwich and even side salads...super.Go.....!!! X
