No I was in the Champany. If you want a steak you go to a steak house. This is a steak house bar none got my Tbone steak done rare to say my mouth was watering is a understatement. You pay for what you get it might cost a bit more but it's worth it.

The food and service were second to none! We had burgers and they were absolutely great! Exactly what you would expect from a place that takes great pride for its cuts of meat. Will definitely return for a steak and perhaps a bit of desert. ;)

Disappointed beyond belief. Our old favourite from yrs ago. My steak was pure fat and the waitor constantly leant over our plates, whilst we were eating, to place sauces etc..... then asked me if I had finished my cheese whilst I was still eating it! We know you are better than this.

Love this steak restaurant. My 16oz ribeye was cooked to perfection. Chips reminded me of chippie chips which is a plus for me. The staff were all really friendly and I was celebrating my birthday there too. Would defo go back for the size of steak and value.

Oh my what a beautiful setting for a steak house. We ordered steaks of course, and they didn't disappoint. This place is now number one on our list for the best meal ever had.If your near here, it's a must that you have a meal here.Well done to all the hard working staff

Amazing staff that are attentive and friendly. You may have to wait on occasion but lovely little area to sit down in and enjoy a drink in front of the fire before getting your table. The food is always delicious and the burgers are quite something and have never had anything but positive experiences over the years.

Just go. That really should be the sum total of this review. If you like burgers and steak, in old Scottish farmhouse setting this is it. Doesn't really get much better. They rear all their own cattle and the meat tastes amazing. It's pretty simple menu but it's all good. The desserts are enormous. Be warned. The coffee is, well, coffee so dinnae expect ah soya flat white or fash aboot gluten free options and ye'll be braw.Don't eat breakfast, because you'll need an empty stomach to eat all those chips fried in lard.I think you can tell I like this place. It's been 5 years since my last visit and it's just as good and nothing's changed. As it should be with something as perfect as this.I see some other people say their steaks were sinewy or chewy. I had med-rare rib-eye and it was good. Yes the fat and connective tissue is hard to cut through, but that's par for the course unless you order a fillet. I wouldn't go past medium on the steaks as thats where they start to dry out. Especially near the thin bone end.

After I visited this place I am considering adjusting my ranking to other restaurants as this place has it all if you like good steaks. Cooked to perfection a sirloin steak (ordered as to the chefs liking which was rare...bold...but he nailed it). Great ambiance and very friendly staff that take care of the tables. All at very reasonable prices.

It's always a pleasure to eat here. It's one of the best places in Scotland (probably the best) to have a steak. Kinda pricy, but worht it. It's a must if you're a meat lover.
