Don't let the outside fool you. We had a great experience staying here. Staff was helpful and the room was huge. We ate dinner at the restaurant, which was very good and had amazing service. Great breakfast again in the morning with fabulous service. Would recommend staying here.

On approach from the outside the hotel looks like it's something from a 70s time warp and I had serious doubts about what it would be like inside. Soon as I walked through the doors I was pleasantly surprised. Reception was manned by a very pleasant young lady who was very helpful check in was hassle free and fast. My room looked like it had just been refurbished along with the ensuite both rooms were of an excellent size and quality. I ain't in the restaurant which was very well priced I had a 2 course meal for £12 which was worth far more. The location isn't the best but the inside makes up for that. I would definitely stay here again

Staff lovely, steak pie filling yummy. Our room was nice and clean all be it a tiny room. The bed was a nightmare, base done in and mattress very uncomfortable. Bathroom was ok Apart from the dirty plug hole, not so great water pressure and the grout or silicone stuck inside bath and wobbly toilet seat. The room was stifling even with radiator off. Had to have window open which made the traffic really loud. Room 25 if offered. Don’t take it! Especially if you have mobility issues, it’s not disabled friendly as stairs to walk up with wobbly banister. It’s a shame we had this experience as many others have said lovely things.

Fabulous hotel, rooms are spacious, very clean also, the rooms come with a kettle to make tea and coffee. We were going to go out to have an evening meal but after seeing their menu decided to stay and we were not disappointed. The meals were excellent as was the breakfasts. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and the service is impeccable.

We had a very disappointing experience when we attended for Christmas Day as a family of 20. The food was mediocre throughout at best and the service was unnacceptable. When we made reference to the 2.5 hours it had taken for our mains to come out, the waitress asked a member of our family if they had ever worked in a kitchen. Clearly they felt this was acceptable. Understanding that Christmas Day can be a challenge but to respond in that manner is highly unprofessional. We were also advised that other tables who were seated well after us were being served before hand and quicker because they were easier to manage. Again, just being paid lip service. (If you can't manage large parties, do not take the booking)!I would not consider this as an option in the future, nor recommend to anyone wishing to dine or stay at this hotel. Ruined our afternoon, on a rare family occasion where we all managed to be together. This is my first time ever reviewing a hotel / restaraunt. I have made the effort purely due to how poor our experience has been. Staff in severe need of training and a better attitude!

Nice Hotel we booked for evening dinner Sunday evening. The menu had good choices & 3 courses for £12 or 2 courses for £10 is excellent value. I am a Celiac sufferer so finding somewhere with a menu that could be adapted for people like me was a bonus. The chocolate fudge cake was lovely. The staff were efficient friendly & polite. Good meal all round 🍴

Lovely clean room, with plenty of towels, smart tv and tea and coffee facilities. Fiendly staff who were welcoming, chatty and helpful. Comfortable beds, up to date decor and a really tasty breakfast. Parking right at the front door for plenty of vehicles. The cleaning lady went above and beyond, taking away birthday wrapping paper too. We were a family of 4 & would recommend to other families too.

Really nice clean hotel. Much nicer inside then it looks from the outside .Bathrooms are recently refurbished and spotless. Only criticism is that there was a wait to get all the items you wanted fof breakfast as only replenished sporadically. Very tasty though once you actually got it.

This hotel doesn't look much from the outside, but its one of those basic hotels who do the simple things brilliantly. The price for a double room with breakfast was reasonable. The staff were friendly and very helpfull. The rooms were clean and tidy, with many recently refurbished. They offer a three course evening meal option for £12, which meant it wasn't worth going out to find somwhere(brilliant idea by someone). The meal options were traditional and simple and very enjoyable. The breakfast the following morning was again traditional and simple, but very nice. All in all good stay.
