Great food and very friendly staff.

Terrible food, slow service and lack of food and drink from menu’s available. Wouldn’t recommend and not surprised the reputation this place has got.

Booked a Christmas lunch for today with my friend. It’s a big restaurant and it was empty apart from one other couple having lunch. We didn’t like where we were sitting and the waitress had said that we could choose another table. We found one in a corner, we just sat down and the manager/ owner, came marching over saying , ‘no, no, no , no’ she said we couldn’t sit there as it was reserved the place was empty! She said just go to that table and pointed to the one that was a foot away. We got up snd took 2 steps to the new table. The manger asked me if I had a mask, I said yes, she said you should have it on. Then said sarcastically ‘team work’ please…. It was literally 1 and a half steps to the table! The place was empty!! We decided to leave, her manner was awful and patronising. I am fully vaccinated and boostered, I had a negative lat flow this morning and I wore a mask in her premises as well as checked in on the track n trace. I am also a nurse practitioner working for the nhs 34 yrs , so am very aware of the rules! The distance from one table to the next was about the same as sitting at a table opposite my friend, so no mask required. I can understand why the place was empty if this is her attitude towards customers! Won’t be back !Got a reply from this manager on Tripadvisor blatantly lying that we were walking through the restaurant with masks and being asked to put them on 3 times…. Absolute lies, she obviously wants to save face for her rude behaviour… avoid this place! Awful!

Absolutely awfulGot there 18.50No steakNo pizzaSo just asked what was available???Ended up with chicken burger, that was 2 strips of chicken in a bun 😳 nice chips though 👍Macaroni cheese, that looked like a child’s portion 🙄Asked for portion of onion rings ( which seemed to be a problem) but waitress sorted itNo toilet roll in one of ladies, so queue had formed resulted in women using hand towels, informed staff, who then went and got toilet roll only to leave it on bar for 1 hour.On leaving at approximately 20.50Went to bathroom, used other toilet ( there were only 2 in ladies) to discover that toilet had no roll either, thank goodness had tissues in my handbag 👜Waiting staff cannot fault, but felt had to get there attention when needed to order drinks etcShall not be returning or recommending, so sad as lovely well president establishment …..

Not been in years, they had lost our booking but quickly sorted. The girls really looked after us, they made our night. Good food, good drink, good company. I often forget its here so will be back very soon. Credit to the waitresses.

It was like eating in a mad house, loud screaming and shouting from various tables ,it was as if 5 or 6 hen parties were taking place all at once. and the worst service and food I have experienced for a long time . Yes there was a staff shortage so you could expect problems. Quite a lot of dishes on the menu were not available our waitress took the order 3 times and never wrote it down .Well well surprise surprisethe wrong order came leaving two at our table having to wait for another 10 minutes before getting served. The starter, goats cheese and the sweet, lemon tart were very poor quality . And after 3 attempts to order a main from the menu I managed to get something that was available .steak burger 🍔 and it was delicious . We did complain and the management offered a reduction on the bill which was great fully received.

Awful awful awful, only nice good thing was the nice waitress. It was our first time here and we won't be back. We went for the set lunch menu. No vegetarian starters apart the soup of the day. I mentioned this to the waitress and asked if I could have the cauliflower bites as a starter since there were no options on the set menu. The chef said no, god knows why because all the starters on the main menu were a similar price. My daughter ordered salmon with a crispy skin and char grilled veg, well the salmon was overcooked, there was no skin on the salmon and the veg was boiled. Not as stated on the menu...it gets worse, I ordered the risotto please see picture, it was like mush, and drowned in oil, disgusting! We ordered a pudding and items were not available, so we were given options of a cheesecake as well, it's funny how they can offer alternatives for the sweets but can't accommodate a vegetarian starter. Wouldn't go back and won't recommend this place for food. Waitress was apologetic, reason no skin on salmon chef told her there had been complaints about the skin..surely change the menu details then, instead of denying people what they have ordered.

Brilliant food staff very friendly brill atmosphere what more can a say

Very very quiet, only ourselves and another group there. Not all options on the menu were available, poor given they werent exactly overly busy. Last orders were requested around 8.30pm. Wont be rushing back.

Great to see the Cafe back up and running! Great food, delicious cocktails and very attentive service, no waiting for drinks and everywhere spotless and as always, great to see Aine back where she belongs! Always bump into familiar friends and faces when we’re there too which makes it feel like home! 😍
