Where is Citizen Bar Dunfermline?

🏠 29 Bruce St, Dunfermline KY12 7AG

"A family run business owned by award winning David Stein Butchers of Bathgate and big sister to the popular 1912, 1807 and 1884 across the water in West Lothian 1703 takes its name from the year this wonderful building was constructed. 1703 is the ideal place for that mid-morning coffee, a leisurely lunch or that late night cocktail. Cafebar 1703 is not a restaurant and its not a pub – we are that dine or don’t type of place we love when we just want to relax and enjoy ourselves."

It is what it is. Wee pub in heart of Dunfermline. More aimed I suspect at the younger clientele as a pre-drinks venue. Quite small but a banging sound system ensures you can't hear a sodding thing without resorting to a mixture of sign language and semaphore!! Bar staff are friendly and helpful. What let's this place down for me is the hideous unisex loos upstairs. I'm just not comfortable with only a frosted glass door separating me from drunk dudes washing their hands and doing their thing. I like a ladies room where I can chill, freshen up and fix make up, hair etc.Toilets are not particularly well maintained either.

I was there for a hen party , place was absolutely frozen , not much of a dance floor. where we were sitting faces the toilets which wasn't a good idea...in all honesty we won't be back there 👎👎👎👎

No draught beer or wine on a Saturday night (Bonfire night). Place smells mouldy. Don't bother!
