Crail Fish Bar & Cafe in Fife

Been to Kingsbarns at least twice a year for over a decade and always driven through Crail to a well known fish bar in a harbour town 1r minutes further along. Finally tried Crail Fish Bar and now wonder why we didn't go earlier... excellent haddock supper will be going again !

I ordered steak pie,pizza,fish,and chips. 8 of us. Every meal was delicious. Friendly service.

Food was nice. It’s lovely to actually get spoken to and treated like customers when ur visiting somewhere for three days as it leaves a nice memory, bit ill always remember the bitter service here. From the sour faced man behind the counter 🤣making comments about “strangers wanting fish” I couldn’t beleiev my ears. Sitting speaking about ur own customers right in front of them wouldn’t go back if was only shop in town🤣🤣

Touring Scotland in our motorhome and on two separate occasions miles away from Crail people praised the fish and chips from here.Being our favourite take away dish we had to give it a try when passing through.It certainly lived up to its recommendations.2 fish suppers and a portion of homemade tartare sauce.Beautifully cooked milky white haddock in a superb light batter.Proper chips cooked to perfection and a lovely taste of potatoes ( some places all you taste is the oil).Tartare sauce far better than any shop bought stuff.To sum up. If Paul Hollywood of the GBBO came here they would get a handshake.Thankyou to the team who gave us food far better than seen and tasted in many fancy restaurants.Also a big thumbs up for the eco friendly cardboard containers.

Fantastic fish and chips. Better than anything we’ve ever had from Anstruther. The team in the shop were friendly and attentive. My children have decreed this is their favourite fish and chip shop. High praise!

Friendly staff, popular plaice... Haha... Haddock was great but the chips were only okay... Would like to see them stop using polystyrene containers for their smaller portions.

You never get a bad fish supper from Crail. In my opinion, it's better than the fish supper from the famous Anstruther chippy. Pleasant staff & quick efficient service..Well worth a visit.😐👍

Have been here before and by far the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Crispy chips with fluffy insides. No soggy batter and no half filled portions. Fresh wonderfully cooked. Served with fresh lemon. It’s phenomenal!!
