Lovely ambience, servers, safety and soup... Oh but you'd better not be plump to go to the loos... a tight squeeze. All in all, a lovely place and atmosphere. Xx

·

Busy pub with a good vibe. They had an amazing selection of whisky and Gins. Their rum selection was getting there too. The staff were friendly and engaging without being in your face. I didn't try the food but hopefully next time.

Such a wonderful pub in such a brilliant town. The atmosphere is so relaxed and chilled, the beer brilliant, the choice of spirits amazing and the Cri pies are even better! Best of all though, our dog loves it, immediately asked if she’d like a bowl of water and a few treats to make her feel right back at home! Love this place 💛 💙

I was there last night when the 2 1* reviews below were refused service inside. Rude to the young bar tender who simply asked them to wear masks whilst walking around like everyone else as is law in Scotland right now. She could not have been nicer but they refused something about their human rights. Righty they were told they couldn’t be served inside. Shocking to see them leave 1* reviews because the pub are following the law.

Great pub in a fantastic location. Staff are very friendly, and take your order quickly. They also thoroughly clean all tables and chairs in between customers. Drinks were good and food looked great too (we didn't eat there). Great place to people watch. Would recommend.

Visited on a few occasions during our visit to St Andrews, Lucky enough to be able to sit outside in the sunshine. Itsa very busy popular place, great for people watching. Very friendly welcoming staff, hand sanatising before entry, track n trace in operation , all tables/chairs sanatised before being seated. We enjoyed our beers outside, great friendly atmosphere, all servers are luvly. We shared a chicken bacon cheese ciabatta, freshly prepared and very tasty. A very good menu on offer. We will be back on our next visit. :) :)

Awesome restaurant and pub in downtown St Andrews. The restaurant is absolutely stunning, both on the interior and exterior, and the food and beer are superb. Went here and ordered the Steak and Ale Cri' Pie along with a Jarl Lager, and the pie was nothing short of fantastic. The puff pastry was flaky and just right, and the steak and potatoes within the pie were on point. In general, the sauce within the pie was the high point of my experience. The ale gave just enough flavor to pack a punch without being too much, and the sauce was thick enough to be soupy but not runny. The beer was a bit disappointing (only because it was not cold enough) so I ordered a half pint of Guinness (pictured in my photos is my friend's full pint) after we realized that the Guinness here is to die for. The right amount of cream is used, and it is EXCEPTIONALLY fresh. My friends also enjoyed their meals (the Cri' burger and chicken sandwich) and beers as well. Plus, the service we received was excellent. Give this place a go.
