Great Fish and Chips the staff are really friendly. I really recommend this place if you want a good chippy. Please don't go to "The Tailend restaurant" the staff there are not so welcoming especially when not busy. Anyways its a great experience here, fantastic food the Fish is fresh and just flakes when biting through the kids loved it I HIGHLY recommend this place for Fish and Chips. You will NOT be disappointed!

Just had a Black Pudding supper from Cromars. The chips were absolutely awful. Obviously reheated at least once if not more. Given the hike in price and the fact they purport to be ‘The Best Fish and chip shop’ they need to have a rethink. The Black pudding has shrunk to almost half the size it used to be. That said the pudding was tasty, however overall I won’t be going back.

Average fish and chips for a premium price. Chips were tasteless and fish was small for the amount we paid for it (ÂŁ31 for 2 fish suppers with ginger beers). No concern for the environment; even though we were dining in we got plastic forks, sauce in plastic cups, a plastic cup for our drinks and our fish & chips was put in a plasticized box.Avoid if you're looking for a nice fish & chips, avoid if you're eco-conscious and avoid if you like value for money.

Absolutely abysmal ! I ordered a haddock supper, a portion of mushy peas and a jumbo sausage and chips to take away. I was the only person waiting and got the impression that everything was being cooked fresh, how wrong I was. The chips were old and dry as though they’d been in the warmer since the night before. The haddock looked huge but it was a thin slither of fish 4-6oz fillet with batter piled on it, the batter was crispy, the fish was undercooked. The whole lot came to around £22.00 , the most expensive fish and chips I’ve ever had and it was absolutely awful! Never again !

Disappointed but now not surprised after reading reviews of similar experiences. Young people showing a lack of care in their product. Fish fresh enough but after waiting 10 minutes to be cooked, the chips were dried up and left with the dregs. Couldn’t believe how overpriced it was. Will think twice about returning. Would not recommend.

Popped in on a quiet Tuesday night for probably the best fish supper I've ever had - fresh haddock, crispy batter, chips with a tiny crunch (I hate the soggy bendy type) - just great. And friendly staff and a nice, heated, outdoor seating area too. Not perhaps the cheapest (probably 15% over the going rate?) but pretty hard to beat for value all the same. Recommended.

Excellent crispy batter on the fish suppers. Their food really did look very appetising. The service was excellent too - efficient and friendly. Disappointingly, the fish didn't taste great - too much brine. Also I thought it was overpriced by about 20%, but maybe that's the market cost in St Andrews.

Bought this fish supper tonight. It was £18 for a jumbo fish supper irn bru and tartare sauce. This was a carryout. It wasn’t just the price but the fish wasn’t jumbo and it was cheap quality. The chips were reheats. Couldn’t eat them they were so hard.Won’t be going back and would advise you not to waste your money and give it a JUMBO body swerve.

Just travelled up from livingston to get a nice fidsh supper as we have been many times before. We usually share our experiences from eating here with friends and family as it’s usually great. My kid got a sausage supper and couldn’t eat it, Said it tasted funny. My wife got Macaroni and chips and only picked at the macaroni. My fish supper was absolutely terrible. The chips are just mush. Soaked in grease and tasteless. Tried to speak to someone in the shop on the phone for over an hour and just getting an engaged tone. £33 for absolute junk I wouldn’t give to the seagulls. Garbage

Ordered on the app as a first time customer and got a wee discount which was nice! It also meant I could just collect quickly upon arrival. Friendly and efficient staff. Had the veggie black pudding supper, with chippy sauce, which was really tasty and had good flavour. Four stars as a little pricey but can't fault them on quality. Recommended to us by a local to be the best in St Andrews.
