Eating Inn in Fife

From the moment we arrived on the Saturday the service from the staff was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable about the food and wine with nothing being too much trouble. The room layout and facilities were great with the separate sitting area upstairs. The food and wine from the tasting menu was exceptional, the extras were a welcome surprise. We will be back

Best restaurant in Fife/St Andrews by a long way. The best service, even better than Le Gavroche in London which is 2 stars. The food was incredible, the staff were fantastic, highly recommend for anyone looking for a special meal.

First visit, arrived on time but no one around. Starters were amazing, little beetroot tartlet and hummus delicious.Dining room was cold throughout. Water served at start was iced but later on was like the tap hadn't been run first. Cappuccino sweet was disappointing.

This was booked for our honeymoon and what a fantastic experience. We stayed in one of the suites and booked in for the tasting menu. The service was incredible, the staff were so accommodating, and every element of the meal was outstanding. Thank you for making our honeymoon such a special occasion!

This is simply one of the best retaurants I have ever eaten at. Superb staff, wonderful menu and unsurpassed service. Delicate flavors all enhanced by the wonderful setting in an old inn. I heartily endorse its Michelin star rating. A must vist restaurant is you are into fine dining. The seafood dishes here are stunning.

Had a brilliant experience at the Peat Inn. Staff were so accommodating and friendly. Especially when it came to ensuring the food and drinks we were served were halal. A very memorable meal and evening.

It was good but it wasn't amazing. The food was very good and we enjoyed each dish on the tasting menu. The service was good although a little scruffy - it felt like there were lots of visits to the table by waiting staff and the conversation was interrupted too frequently. The tempo also seemed to be a bit of a rush to begin with and we had the first couple of dishes piling up. However, my biggest gripe with this restaurant was the atmosphere. It really lacked any authenticity and it was a rather large stain on the whole experience. The biggest element of this was the music which felt like terrible corporate lobby music. I'd recommend it as worth a visit to friends and family but I'd not return myself.

The Peat Inn is a wonderful experience. The food is simply outstanding, delicious and beautifully presented and finishing the meal with the most incredible desserts always makes me smile. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed , while the team are professional, attentive, efficient and above all friendly and charming. I love everything about the Peat Inn .

I booked the Peat Inn for my Wife's 40th Birthday in July. From the first contact regarding the booking to our checkout the experience was fantastic, the food, rooms and customer service was outstanding. We do not do fine dining and were a bit apprehensive but the staff made us very comfortable and I will bore people about the duck until the end of time! As a side note they kindly arranged a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to be delivered on the morning of Wife's birthday and everyone commented on them at the house. Thought our visit would be a one off but I highly doubt that.
