Golden Chip in Fife

Brilliant local chippy, reasonably priced and the best fish supper I've ever had. Staff are lovely, service is quick, the food is mouthwatering.

Slow service they stop serving to do orders I front of you when could be taking yours. Waited 25 minutes for 2 suppers absolute joke. Will not be using again. Rubbish service.

Placed an order just after they opened on xmas eve. Told it would be an hour, then called me to say an hour 30. When we chased them, told another 45 mins. Only one driver on at this time of year, utter joke. Waiting three hours for food is terrible service. Got to wonder what's happened or how many orders within the first 25 mins of the place opening.

Just average. Had a pulled pork burger that looked promising, but again... Just OK.

Best chip shop in Dunfermline chips were excellent,fish is too ,and best off all is the pizza .

Never really had problems with food from this place I guess waiting in the queue for a long amount of time is a bit frustrating but when it's busy then it's understandable. When picking up order or ordering inside food is nice and hot however at times the food has arrived slightly cold when getting a delivery. Which then means I have to reheat it so hence why only 3 stars but apart from that nice staff as well.

Well after speaking to an abrupt woman when I was trying to explain that the chips were obviously been at the bottom as they were crumbs basically she asked me to wrap them up in the box & orginal paper & return them to her & she would decide if I could get a replacement bag of chips 🍟 offset bare in mind this was a supper so I was not going to wait on her deciding if my chips were acceptable for HER! chips to the pigeons, poor customer service never be back you would understand if I was complaining about a tomahawk steak but a bag of chips that's how low she will go , training needed for this member of staff, as they won't be the first or last goodluck as this will be published elsewhere

Absolutely horrendous service !!! Myself and my partner were at the front of the queue with one other person who had already ordered. It took 2 servers ( ppl that take orders) to make up her order while we were left to wait over 10 minutes. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS PLACE no service and can't comment on the food because we just walked out !!!

When visiting Dunfermline yesterday I bought there 2 x fish & chips for my family... the worst started at night. My 3years old daughter started vomiting. It lasted half of the night. Together with my wife had stomachache problems. Each month we have fish&chips but never ever had such a problem after eating. Avoid this place!Response:Suggesting about leaving unsubstantiated comments? This is a very substantiated review.Definitely It wasn't a gastric virus what you trying to say...I understand you want to defend you business, but saying it was a gastric virus is really a bad excuse.I don't know if it was old oil used for frying or something else but please don't say ''it was nothing to do with your purchase''...

Waiting for more than hour n half on delivery called about 40mins ago to be told the driver is on the way I understand due to weather conditions. Roads kinda blocked. guys this is not the first time this happened in past no snow blocking roads so I suggest track and trace on deliveries be helpful letting customers know what's happening.
