Great place to visit for a meal and great relaxing time if you are around. We came here on Sunday before 3pm, had not booked a table. We were lucky as there were tables available and waitress and chefs were kind to serve us as this was time when staff were getting ready for afternoon teas and dinner menu preparation.Good size portions, very delicious starter (chicken liver pate), main (see the photos) and desert. We enjoyed our meal in the garden as it was sunny - it was brilliant.Definitely coming back again.

My husband and I had a lovely meal here today. We had a 3 course meal and each course was excellent. The service was also very good. I would highly recommend this gastro pub. The only suggestion I would make would make is that the restaurant would benefit from an imitation fire or some lanterns to give a cosy feeling which would be much appreciated on such a cold and damp day. There were some candles in the fireplace but these were not lit. However the meal itself was one of the best I have had.

Fantastic food and staff. We were able to take the dogs in and there was a lovely beer garden where you could eat also. Food arrived very quickly. Staff attentive but unobtrusive. Plenty of parking. Toilets beautifully clean.

Very glad we were recommended this place as it was the first time I have ever tried oysters and lobster. They are both mind blindingly good and did not break the bank in the process. The chocolate sundae was the best I have ever eaten, no squirt cream burying it there was fresh cream hidden at the bottom so you discovered it with sweet melted ice cream and the brownie and caramel which seemed to be cranked up to flavour dial 11 I don't think my tastebuds have ever been so fully engaged.

Great food and first class service set in a very relaxing atmosphere. I have a food allergy and the menu was explained to me of what I could and could not have and what changes could be made to the food. Thank you for looking after us.

Absolutely perfect afternoon spent in the beautiful garden with the Mrs . Food was so tasty and the hand cut chips were to die for as well as the local craft beer. The owner was so attentive and a complete sweetheart couldn't do enough for us . Just a perfect afternoon chilling in a beautiful place . We will definitely be back ..5 stars ✨

Went for Sunday lunch for the first time with the new management and loved it. Great welcome, service and food at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend.

First time here. Sunday lunch in lovely surroundings, good selection on the menu and the food was wonderful. Pleasant staff take time to speak and they don't try to hurry you out the door. Will be back.

Call ahead and booked a table for 4. No Problem. The place looks great after the big fire they had. Well done on the make over..................................Got there and we decided to order the Grill at £50 for 2. BIG MISTAKE. The first course was excellent. The main course was a complete disappointment! It turned up under cooked (RED), we don't like under cooked meat at all. Sent it back. Came back and some of it was still red. The Iberian black pig was running red!, The Scotch beef was still not well cooked. Totally put of the meal and ruined the evening. 75% of the food was left untouched. The excuse was that it is THEIR policy that they have rare to medium!!!! They did offer a "steak", but my stomach had been turned at this point by the blood coming from the under cooked meat.I was also told that the Iberian Black pig was supposed to be red rare!!!!!! I thought pork was supposed to be well cooked through.Had better at a back door BBQ!!Sorry to say I would avoid going there again, it was an expensive mistake at an eye watering £106.55!!!!!!!!!!!!
