L & A Valente in Fife

My family just had the worst food ever! This was NOT a delivery so no excuse. They walked in and ordered and it was made there and then. Smoked sausage supper was stone cold inside. The batter on the fish was hot but the fish was cold inside, even the chips were awful, had to throw the lot in the bin and both feel sick now! Just as well I wasn't with them or the lot would be handed back for a full refund!! Avoid at all costs. Only tried it as our usual one was so busy but obviously a reason for that! Never again.

It was good food except the piza they fry

Special fish at £8.00 was a bit steep, especially when it was slightly over cooked. The portion of chips was also a bit mean considering the price.

We've just had probably the best fish supper I have ever had from La Valentes, High St, Kirkcaldy. Beautifully crisp batter, succulent fish and some great chips with a bit of salt and vinegar. Fast, efficient and very polite walk in service... I can't recommend these guys highly enough! Superb!!!

Fish suppers out of here are mostly really good. Very reasonably priced and you get 2 pieces. However, their consistency isn't their strong point. 4 times out of 5 the fish is crispy and perfectly done. But the odd time it's soggy and the batter is sloppy and the fish is not flaky and clumpy. Overall mostly a good experience and worth the 4 stars in my opinion. 👍

Again depends on who is cooking. Tonight White puddings cut in half, uncooked thick batter. Chips okay . Might not be back couldn't eat it

An hour late. Took almost 2 hours total. The restaurant is 5 minutes away from my house and my order was very simple. Fish supper and onion rings. Contacted them through the just eat app and received unhelpful automated responses about when it would arrive and compensation. Phoned after they had missed their second delivery time stated and they were quite frankly rude and unhelpful there also.Food arrived finally and it wasn't good. Soggy chips, bland onion rings, bland and mushy fish.Won't be ordering from here again. Massively disappointed with the restaurant and just eat for not holding them accountable when they are clearly in the wrong.TL;DR: If you order from here expect to waste time waiting on this mediocre (at best) food. You'll probably regret even considering this restaurant as a choice for your quick fix dinner.
