It’s been 2.5 hours and I still haven’t received my food. Inexcusable and unprofessional. Don’t have an online delivery option if you can’t get it done in a timely, respectable fashion.

I have been a few times but thought I would try take-away. I waited the 40 minutes it stated would be the waiting time only to be greeted by blank faces! I ordered through the website which seemed easy to use. The issue is at the restaurant’s end as they don’t seem to know how it works? Despite stating my name they kept calling me someone else and then they realised “it had not printed” so they didn’t know anything about my order!

Visited Maisha with my wife and kids whist in St Andrews for a short stay.Everyone enjoyed there meals and I particularly enjoyed my chefs special crabmeat curry. Just the right side of hot with a good amount of crab.My son had a salmon tandoori which he really enjoyed, another special ofvthe house and not common on many Indian menus and my wife and daughter had chicken Korma.Starters and sides were conventional indian fare and all tasty. My wife particularly enjoyed the pickled shredded vegetables that came with our poppadoms.Staff were very attentive and as we had attended during the theatre menu hours but ordered a la carte the waiter ensured an additional portion of korma was provided for my wife and daughter rather than the smaller sized pre theatre portions they were originally given.Would recommend this restaurant to others and would recommend particularly to those who want to try alternative seafood options not available at most other Indian restaurants.Prices were reasonable for St Andrews but it is a more expensive area to eat out so was expecting to pay the ÂŁ10 a head more than I normally would.

My teammates and I went to Maisha for a team dinner and the service was terrible. We had reserved space for our large party ahead of time, but it took over two hours to receive our food. We arrived at 8 pm and ordered shortly after and did not receive our starters until 10:10 pm. Also, when we did eventually receive our main meals, they forgot to give us rice. Many meals also were given to us cold. By the time the rice came fifteen minutes later, many people had already eaten most of their meal and then could not enjoy it with the rice like they ordered. When we tried to talk to the staff about why our food took so long, they did not give us any reasonable explanation and were hostile. I will not be eating here again or recommending this restaurant to anyone I know.

Very bad experience with food and service as well. Not at all recommended for Indian food at least. If some one fine with very congested dining area where you don't need any privacy and fine with not so good food can try this.

A bit surprised to be charged over ÂŁ1 for each poppadom and a sweet, runny smooth mango chutney. The mains were OK (nicely spiced but with chopped iceberg lettuce and raw carrot?) and about 30% more expensive and top rated London curry houses. The biryani was supposed to come with a vegetable bhaji, and when I asked was told that the bhaji was a success with vegetables?? Is this under new management, as I felt like it was an exercise in maximizing profits with minimum cost.

The Maisha special Korma was some of the best curry I’ve tasted. Great portion size and value for money. I would definitely eat here again.

Very disappointing, food wasn’t special. I didn’t get the option to choose from lunch menu, didn’t know they have it. People ordering after me asked for one. I had starter and curry with naan for £27, two people, 2 starters, 2 lunches, £22 in total. Ask a lunch menu.

Visited on a whim, and Indian food is something I do enjoy. Sat downstairs and my order was taken right away. Poppadoms and a variety of sauces were brought and I nibbled whilst waiting for the meal I ordered. It only took 10 minutes and was delivered, piping hot. It was fabulous, really well cooked and very tasty.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for fast and friendly service and a lovely meal.It was, I feel, a tad pricy, the rice was separate, and although they do meal deals, this was outwith the times. However, it is in St.Andrews so that seems to be on par with Edinburgh pricing. Lovely meal though.
