My partner and I booked an early dinner on Saturday.during the Open. Pretty unimpressed that the menu was so short and the price of a two course meal was about 50% more than usual. I discussed this with the manager on duty who told me that she had given this feedback to the management but it fell on deaf ears. The same manager was very apologetic and we were offered a cocktail on the house which was very nice of her but come on Mitchell's are you not thinking longer term about the local business that you get all year round and upsetting regular customers? I know others were doing the same but there were also a number who kept their prices in line with their usual pricing. I was also told to expect a call from one of the Mitchell's management but am still waiting on that. All round, not impressed but we did have a nice meal.

My husband and I had a nice bite to eat here. We shared a brisket mac and cheese toastie here as we weren't too hungry and it was lovely. It took a wee while to come out but this suited us quite well. The chai latte was also very good. The servers were helpful and friendly

Lovely place for breakfast. Excellent choice of food and very popular. Had a full Scottish breakfast tea and a mimosa.

Food was good when it came. Everything was too slow. 45 minutes to bring a glass of wine! Servers, that's the first thing you should do. Every table was very slowly served. Our 7 30 table was to be vacated by 9 but the main course hadn't been served at that time. Luckily no-one else came in. Call me stupid but this is the third time I have been here in the last 18 months and the service has been the same each time

I was not impressed by the service here. We waited an hour for food and when it arrived there were still issues. I ordered Brioche French Toast with yogurt, honey and berries what I got was savoury brioche French toast, 1 Spoonful of yoghurt 1/2 strawberry, 1 blueberry and 7 pomegranate seeds and no honey!! Disappointing !!

We waited 45 minutes to get our drinks and 1 hour to get any food. They were missing several things and forgot to bring us 2 items. We had to ask twice before they finally brought us what we ordered. We ended up spending 2 hours there and for a day trip that was a ridiculous waste of time. The food was decent but overpriced and definitely not worth the wait.

Quite literally the worst excuse for a tattie scone I’ve ever seen, anywhere. Barely touched it. Haggis also nowhere near the quality I’d expect from a Scottish deli. And the bacon seemed like it had been cooked in a deep fat fryer. Sausage and black pudding were lovely, but overall pretty disappointing.

Our usual holiday visit was a great disappointment it is with great regret that I feel I need to warn visitors that Mitchell's has lost it's fabulous service. We had a disappointing experience waited over an hour for our main course and are still waiting on the return of our deposit despite emailing. Hoping that their issues are addressed but would think twice before returning 😔

Sister establishment to Forgan's next door with the same cool vibe and great lighting. They squeezed us in on a busy Friday morning for a coffee and "crispy cake" and couldn't have been more accomodating, even after we took out our laptops so our daughter could complete some quick school tasks. Really impressive operation.
