Very tasty dishes, big portions,sit in or take out always good love the soup 😋

Gem of a restaurant in St. Andrews, our favourite place to eat when visiting this historic town. There are only 6 tables making it cosy but large enough as not to feel crowded when eating. We picked their meal deal today, 3 dishes for under £12, all the food which came to the table was excellent, couldn't fault any of it, clean plates all round. They have a full bar and serve soft drinks, teas and coffee. Prices are on par with other establishments in the area.They also have a take away area downstairs for food collection. The server today was polite, prompt and well presented. Toilets are available for customers. Unfortunately the dining area is up a set of stairs, the take away section is down a few stairs, the gents toilets are down a set of stairs to the rear of the dining area as well, so it will not suit wheelchair users.

We've been going to The Oriental House for many, many years for takeaways, and it used to be amazing. The vegan tofu dishes were outstanding, but changed a few years ago, although were still really good. However, the takeaway we got last night was very poor. Tiny portions, and the tofu hadn't been cooked. We didn't enjoy it, and I'm sad to say, that I don't think we'll be back.

Had the curry which had a nice taste to it but think they dropped the salt packet into it . Very salty and the chicken was touch as old boots . Won't be back

Poor very poor decor basic and cheap BUT WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MEALThe chicken curry dish was so delicious and very goid size portion reasonable priced for a main st as wellWhatch tables being cleaned after use very thorough even chairs done more than you get in pubs

Excellent food! Didn't taste processed and not too salty. Didn't have the feeling that the food contained artificial colourants and monosodium glutamate unlike some places. We ordered sweet and sour chicken HK style and and crispy spicy king prawn noodles both great!

My son and i had a chicken chow mein and fried rice and the crispiest chips ever with prawn crackers absolutely delicious. Great service, speedy delivery. Would positivley recommend the Oriental House. First Class. Our thanks and compliments to all involved.

I haven't used this take away in quite a while as they had been inconsistent in the past so I thought it was time to give them another try. I kinda wish I hadn't bothered. I ordered the beef curry and, once getting it home, I discovered the thinnest slithers of beef imaginable. The curry sauce was also thin in nature and had a weird balance to it, one mouthful would be fine, the next would blow the roof of your mouth off. The only saving grace was that the chips that came with it were very tasty, if not for those this eating would have been even lower.
