My wife and I had a meal in the restaurant one evening just for a change, rather than simply ordering a takeout for collection or delivery. We both liked the extra choice you get in terms of menu items when you order as a sit in. There are also plenty of vegetarian options. It was a Wednesday evening and the place was empty! We pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves. We got excellent service from the friendly staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals in a quiet, calming atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of house Prosecco, starters, mains, and some of the delicious desserts and it came to around £68. I have to say that the food is tastier when it is served at a table, freshly cooked with the tea light food warmer to keep things hot.

Had a lovely tasty meal here. As a vegetarian I sometimes find Chinese menus don't have much on offer but The Peony had a good selection.Service was very good and the dessert menu was tempting too.For a main course with a glass of wine and a dessert my friend and I paid £46.00 between us.

Ordered delivery for Xmas day at 3pm . After 3 calls to hasten dely it arrived at 4.55pm. To add insult to injury they sent boiled not fried rice the sweet sour chicken was burnt more like tikka. The sauce was disgusting. The duck in orange sauce was chewy and skin left on . Avoid. Wasted Christmas day worst chinese ever !

The food was par. Nothing special but not bad. Staff are friendly but the way plates and cutlery are dropped onto the table is quite unprofessional. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice but for what you're paying, it is just takeaway food put onto the plate.I really want to see this restaurant improve going forward.

I ordered from here for Xmas day as I wanted a stress free Xmas dinner, instead my order was 1h 25min later than was ordered for and absolutely everything was stone, which was surprising as they where just bagging it up when I got their to collect it, I spent a small fortune and wasn't expecting this to happen, I have been here before and never had any issues but this has put me off coming again

Rubbish. Don’t order the munchy box. Basically a £10 box of average chips. Couple of bits of dry chicken and the box was pretty small. If you have the actual munchies, do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money here. Literally the most disappointing takeaway I have ever ordered.

Just ordered for the first time and I'm not happy, ordered sweet and sour king prawns in batter and chips.Batter was so soggy that the batter just slipped of the prawn and chips were cold.Heard good reviews for here but meal was so disappointing I will not be ordering any time soon.Called to complain but the gentleman didn't seemed bothered and stated that I should have gone to collect it myself as he would have expected moisture to get to prawns causing them to look how they did. VERT POOR!!!!
