This is a little gem, really friendly staff. Dogs allowed, terrific home baking....what's not to like? 🙂

Always warm and welcoming, perfect after a walk or cycle ride.

Great wee cafe and very nice people. Went for a birthday party and the kids got to ride horses then did vaulting practice and had a birthday tea. They had brilliant fun and it was great value for money.

Excellent Cafe. 4 different soups on offer. Great cake and coffee. Cyclist get 10% discount.

Fab wee cafe and great service, such a great range of food too, especially those soups. Well worth a try.

We went into the cafe and ordered some soup and a ham sandwich. The bread for the sandwich was hard and when we sent it back we were told it had been previously frozen. She took it back to replace the bread and microwaved it several times. When we got the sandwich back it was warm with loads of butter on it making it inedible. The cucumber was dry and lettuce was brown. Overall a disappointing experience.

Amazing vaulting lesson for my daughter today! We are currently on holiday in Scotland so this was a one off lesson.Philip was knowledgeable and patient, she is only 8 but was taught to her level in a safe, friendly environment. Marianne took our booking via email and from then on the entire experience was fantastic. The cafe is wonderful with lots of choice, home made cake's and really friendly staff.

I took riding lessons for a couple of years about 7/8 years ago, I gained more knowledge while riding Barbie, Ms Beesly and Avril who was my riding instructor where very kind at the time and I'm sure she still is amazing as she was back then 🙂 definitely recommend these guys, have so many good memories.

Highly recommend Shieldbank for lessons if you want to learn how to ride properly in a safe environment or refresh your skills. Marianne and her team are friendly and welcoming. Leigh is a great instructor who is motivated and brings a fresh upbeat approach to lessons whilst instilling Shieldbank's key riding principles. I have been to many riding schools and yards where the standards of practice and horses fall well below Shieldbank.
