Silvery Tay in Fife

Been a couple of times now and both times chips were good but fish was overcooked, I think they're cooking it to a timer rather than checking to see when ready, might go back for chips definately not the fish abysmal.

Excellent fish and chips plus the service was fast and efficient. Worth a visit

A rather good fish supper- takes quite a while to get served though. They have a very good tartar sauce to go with the fish. Definitely recommend.

Very disappointed last year when the fritters were taken off menu. ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED TONIGHT WHEN THEY RETURNED. Even more delighted when we tried the new home made tartare sauce. Don't need to comment on the fish and chips. Always excellent.

Tried to order tonight whilst travelling home via the app so we would save time, to find it was going to take 45 minutes for 2 suppers and a single sausage to be prepared! Phoned to be told it would only take 15 minutes if we came to the shop and ordered in person - SO WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE APP!!!! Ended up doing this and regret going! The single sausage was put in the same small box as the sausage supper, hardly any chips then in with the supper, and son left feeling hungry. Also smoked sausages, which were tasty, were really disappointingly small. Definitely not worth the money. Fish supper was ok but not very warm at all. Also ordered a diet coke to find it was full sgar when we got home which I can't drink. Overall a frustratingly disappointingly experience and we won't be back.

Brilliant! Ordered a fish supper and a white pudding supper and a tub of curry sauce. Couldn't falt it!

SHAME ON ME!25 mins for a white pudding supper, chips very slightly burnt, pudding ok but 25 mins is ridiculous amount of time to take, no queue so not sure what the problem was .Entered the shop at 8:25pm left at 8:49, so 25 minutes is a very slight exaggeration.SHAME ON ME!If I was told that they were closed or closing, I would have happily left, but they took my order. But shame on me for giving an honest review.Just passing through, so not sure how they can redress the issue, the time taken was the time taken, weather they got the order right or not first time . On discovering the error, the manager then verbally admonished his staff for the mistake, at which point I would have left but I had already paid and no one asked if I wanted the fish instead or a refund.SHAME ON ME!But shame on me for giving an honest account.SHAME ON ME!

One of the best Fish and Chip shops. Was called The Silvery Tay. Change name resently. The Fifie. Very pleasant and helpful Staff. Good selection of food. Same staff.

Discovered this gem of chippy a few months ago during lockdown, we were going at least once a week during the summer months, absolutely delicious fish chips and white puddings 😊
