Eaten here a handful of times over the years. Definitely best to book a table ahead of your visit.I'm never disappointed with the food I get, though one time I had a burger that didn't taste right but with no issues it was removed from my bill, so I have no complaints and have been back since.Tomahawk steak for 2 is what we had on this recent visit, first time since covid and it was good. There has been a price increase for the offer but for what you get with steak and all the sides and sauces it's definitely still reasonably priced.Served with king prawns, fried mushrooms, chips, sweet potato chips, onion rings, side salad and a variety of mustards and a very good peppercorn sauce. Sauce blew my head off a bit initially but by the end of my meal I was really enjoying it and wished I had more food to finish off the sauce with 🤣Plenty of food for 2 people. We ordered it originally as medium/rare for my liking but as my partner likes medium/well done we called ahead to alter it to medium, which was no problem at all to the staff. I'd say it was cooked as well done rather than medium but given it was still delicious I have zero complaints. A deposit of £25 is required when booking and deducted from your bill at the end of the meal.Definitely worth a visit whether for food or a good pint!Cosy atmosphere.Good selection of drinks.Friendly and welcoming staff.Clean establishment.Adheres to current regulations.

Fantastic place to visit. May not look much from outside but inside it's a welcoming, cosy environment. The food was outstanding, big tasty portions (so much so I couldn't manage a dessert!) and the service perfect.

Quiet, comfortable, cosy pub. Very friendly and helpful staff.Good choice of food.Picked their eponymous burger, big portions, very tasty.Only 4 * because they forgot to put bacon on the burger, in their defence they did reduce the bill as a consequence.Would certainly go back.

Accidentally came across this restaurant… just happened to Google: dog friendly restaurants in Fife… so very glad we found this one! One of the best meals we’ve had in ages. Excellent service. Reasonably priced. We will be back :)

A wee hidden gem in Cupar...loved the food, best beer battered chicken I've ever tasted (so crispy and not greasy) accompanied by lovely fresh salad and crispy chips, my husband had the steak and ale pie which was a hearty portion with veg and chips. My husband would've loved the brocolli to have been cooked a bit longer but that's just down to personal preference. We would've really loved to have had a dessert but unfortunately we were both so full after the main next time might just go for a starter and dessert. The staff are so..o friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for their customers, whether in for a drink ora meal. First visit in more than a year and I had forgotten how enjoyable the experience is there. It might be a small pub but as they say "size doesn't matter" 😂
