The best cafe in St Andrews in my opinion! Very busy wee place, especially on weekends, so make sure to book in advance! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed a delicious scone with jam and cream (of the best I've had) and a lovely cup of tea. A really good selection of cakes on display and an extensive menu. My friend ordered the sausage roll and it was huge, so come with an appetite. Portion sizes are great! My go to in St Andrews now 👌🏻

Cozy cottage, tasty food and good music! Very affordable prices too! Highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a unique experience 🤗

Lovely thick piping hot soup. Not an awful big eating place but does have tables upstairs. They also sell their home baked cakes to take away the scones are huge and very tasty.

Coffee and atmosphere are excellent, staff are attentive and kind even though it's a busy spot (wait times are a little longer due to its popularity). I dropped a star as gluten free option both times I visited, was a brownie. A very rich and lovely brownie, but an alternative would be fab.

Very friendly, very good fresh food and reasonably priced. We had Reuben sandwich, with a lovely, very freshly made, salad and a Buddha bowl, equally amazing. Many thanks.

Two stars because the staff are lovely, and the coffee was nice. The breakfasts really weren't (veggie and normal full breakfast). The eggs were rubbery, but with almost raw whites near the yolks, and my daughter had egg shell in hers. The wilted rocket was gritty, the bacon thick with white (preservatives?) pasty stuff over them and the fat was not crisped. My daughter left half of hers, I left sausage and half the bacon. I revisited the eggs later that day with a run to the bathroom with tummy upset and a strong sulphur smell:(

Very popular spot in St Andrews (be prepared to be turned away at their busiest times) but worth the wait if you can get in. We enjoyed a wonderful cream tea and some great people-watching if the weather permits and you can sit outside. Their mobile ordering service was a bit clunky but the young servers were happy to wait on tables. Highly recommended.

One of the very rare cafes who does seasoning right. Lovely environment, incredibly friendly staff, and really nice food for breakfast. Would recommend to drop by if you're in St. Andrews!

Very busy and service as a result a little slow. The food and drink however was worth the wait.

This is an absolute gem of a place in St Andrews! We were given a table outside which is a lovely courtyard, and dog-friendly is a bonus! We had our two children so they both ordered macaroni cheese, and we ordered the Shrimp Po’Boy and Steak Philly sandwiches which were both amazing - the prawns were juicy and the pickled slaw was so good!! I didn’t think I’d manage to eat the side of sweet potato fries I’d ordered after seeing the size of our mains but they were so crispy and perfectly cooked, they got demolished too! The kids macaroni portion was really good and the garlic bread was homemade and lovely.Service was top notch, very friendly welcoming team and even little touches like having plastic cups for the kids to use is really good. A really pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, could’ve easily sat there all afternoon! Can’t wait to go back again and try the other options on the menu because the choices are great, it was hard to pick just one! Thank you to The Cottage Kitchen!
