Great experience- good variety of menu, lots of choices/alternatives for folks with allergies. Great food served by attentive and friendly staff in a quiet relaxing ambience. Will definitely return

From the outside not very classy surprisingly very nice inside .The staff were very polite and good service .The main meal was good but let down by sweet portion this was presented to us as apple crumble in a small ramekin I would have preferred a bowl .On leaving by the back door I had to walk across a very wet wooden decking surface I had high heels on and feared I might slip a rubber mat area for walking on would be advisable

Just had the best fish chips and crushed pea in fife, they were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend. Staff were great .

Had a really nice birthday meal a couple of weeks ago. Friendly and attentive service, very tasty food, and nice decor. It was also so nice to have such good options on the menu despite a few dietary restrictions between us! (The reason why we decided to try here, turned out well!) Would definitely go again for another special occasion.

Had the most amazing meal this is the 2nd time ive been food was delicious staff are lovely & so attentive Kirsten was our waitress & her knowledge of wines was excellent she is simply the most attentive & loveliest waitress i have ever encountered. Highly recommended

Excellent food within a covid safe, yet cosy restaurant setting. I had the haggis scotch egg for starter followed by the ale battered haddock which were both of a very high quality. The service from everyone was very warm and welcoming. The online booking system was so user friendly as well. Definitely worth a visit if you want a quiet and relaxing dinner.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Service and food excellent. Very high standard, far better than any back home in Elgin. Thanks to all involved in creating the perfect night out. Will return next time, when back in Kirkcaldy.

I heard that The Dining Room had reopened under new management and decided to go for lunch there. I spent most of my career as a butler so, when it comes to eateries, I am notoriously difficult to please!Firstly, I was very pleasantly surprised by the establishment and was very warmly greeted by staff at the bar who showed me to my seat for lunch. The owners came and introduced themselves. They saw that I was planning a working lunch and made care to seat me near to an electric plug for my laptop.For lunch I ordered a cheeseburger which was excellently cooked with good garnish, hot and well presented. It came with chips which were well cooked and crisp, as well as steamed vegetables in their own steamer so that they stayed warmer for longer.The serving staff were prompt, well presented and considerate. For example, between mains course and sweet I told the waitress that I'd probably order in about 20 minutes' time... 20 minutes later, she arrived to ask if I was ready?The creme brulee was excellent - one of the best I've ever had - and I'm sure that the accompanying biscuits would also have been tasty were I not full up by then!I'm aware that the new management have only recently reopened The Dining Room. It has been carefully and tastefully redecorated to give a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere.I now consider the business as the perfect place for a treat, for something special. It is clear that those in charge are keen to make really good food and to give people a special atmosphere in which to enjoy it. There are not many such places in this town and I hope that it will do very well indeed. They certainly deserve to do so.

NEW FAVOURITE RESTAURANT!!Came in for dinner tonight and was blown away by the fantastic service front of house but most importantly for me, the food! OMG, the food is to die for! I had the vegetarian spring rolls for starter and the vegan chickpea burger for main, my man had the beer battered fish and chips and we were absolutely blown away with the quality of the food and also the prices. For what you get the price point is fantastic.Special mention to Von the head Chef,at 20 years old she is absoluetly phenomenal and is going to do amazing things with her skills in the future.I would HIGHLY reccomend to any and everyone and I will. We will most definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.
