Great place to stay on the outskirts of St Andrews.Greeted well by a very polite young lady who was very organised and keen to explain about the Inn.Our room was number 20 superior , huge with a lovely large bathroom and Jacuzzi bath.Ate in the restaurant both evenings, had a lovely fillet steak with all the trimmings. Second night needing gluten, dairy free diet, spoke to one of the co owners who couldn't have been more helpful fabulous chicken breast snitzel seasoned beautifully using appropriate breadcrumbs.Would highly recommend vino very reasonably priced we were on a package well worth it .

What a gem. Staff are great. Very polite and friendly. We were given an upgrade to a superior double room with a jacuzzi bath and large shower unit. The food was superb. Breakfast offered was a full and hearty one with ample choice. Anything asked for the chef produced. Great choice on the dinner menu and everything cooked to perfection. All the public areas had wood burning stoves which were continually being stoked. As I said, a great little gem of a find.

Lovely rooms and grounds. Friendly staff. They appeared a bit short of staff maybe? Had to ask for teaspoons. Was given fillet steak when we requested sirloin. No amendments made to bill. Forgot water. Forgot condiments etc. With more staff would be fantastic.

Just back from a two night stay. The hotel is an old coaching Inn and as such could use a bit of money spent on the buildings. That said, nothing at all wrong with rooms- comfy and warm. The meals are excellent and very good value . Would recommend the Inn at Lathones.

The food was amazing and staff were brilliant but the room was awful. Stripped the beds before I left as I always do in any hotel/B&B I stop in and all the pillows were stained as was the duvet and even the mattresses. Protective covers would prevent that. Put me off my breakfast. Please upgrade the rooms as if not the customers won't stay again. Overpriced at £85 for 1 night to sleep in dirty bed

Great value for money, lovely roadside hotel. Accommodation is located outside the main building in what was converted farm buildings. Nice wee bar with log fires in the bar area. There are to areas to eat one next to the bar the other past the hotel reception. This restaurant also has a log fire.My only complaint would be there was no heating turned on in the room on arrival I had to turn the radiator on. As the room was pre book I would have thought the heating would be on for our arrival.

great hotel really comfortable and very authentic. Fantastic staff and a high standard of meals with a fantastic chef of 5 star quality, the best food I have had in a hotel.

Love the Inn at lathones!!! So welcoming and a real home from home. Jet baths in the superior rooms and amazing breakfast! Give the expensive st Andrews hotels a miss and pick this one.

For what we paid it was excellent value for money and the meals were of a very high standard. Staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was good but in need of a little tlc - nothing too major.

We travelled quite a distance to get to this place only to find that due to a power cut on the previous night there was no heating in the bedrooms and a reduced menu in the restaurant. We were offered extra blankets which was quite ridiculous given the cold weather which made the bedroom uninhabitable and when I asked why they didn't make an attempt to contact us they had no answer. In different circumstances it might well have been a reasonable place to stay for a short break albeit the location is fairly isolated.
