battered fish, king rib, red and white pudding all great, crispy batter and not greasy, would recommend you give it a try

·

Amazing chippy, Best deep fried Mars bars without question, perfectly battered and tasty, decent portion of chips and the BRU to wash it all down. Perfect 10 out of 10

We kept passing and finding it closed even though opening hours said it should be open. Would be helpful if the correct winter opening hours could be posted in the window or online. Anyway, managed to get our meal tonight (Friday) around 6pm. Good portion size, a fish and a half, and good helping of chips. The batter was crispy around the edges but the 7minute drive home maybe had steam causing it to go a bit soggy. Chips were a bit overdone and not chunky enough lending it to a lot of little harder crunchy wedges/slivers. Overall not bad for occasional visit but wouldn’t be rushing back. Home made tartar sauce was a bit of a letdown with not much flavour or bite.

I can't say I'm a fan of this Fish and Chip shop, as the food to me has never been that great. Unfortunately its the only chippie in Comrie. Far better food is available in Crieff but being a non-driver means expensive delivery costs or a bus ride ( if they are running that time of night)What would make this chippie great is a review of the menu, creating a proper pizzeria instead of what I refer to as "packet mix Pizza", and a far more elderly-friendly access to the place. i.e. people outside not hogging the footpath and forcing others onto the road to pass.On the up side, most of the staff and are generally courteous. Maybe one there is due for an early retirement. Won't say anything more.Lift your game people and I might visit again, if I can actually get into the shop that is!Well, after about 2 years, I have visited again, and its fair to say, nothing has changed. Sure there are Covid rules in place now, but thats about it. The fare is still the same. I do suggest that if you have young children wanting their fish you check it very closely for pin bones. If finding pin bones one happened they could be forgiven for missing them, but on every piece of fish I have had from them. Laziness IMHO.I've rarely if ever had this from other chippies.Sorry guys, this time I'll not be returning to give you yet another go.

Great food and even better service, really friendly helpful staff.

Great wee chippy. All orders made fresh so expect a wait. We had the sausage supper and cheeseburger supper. Both tasty and quite a light crispy batter rather than a cakey batter. Shop staff doing their best during coronavirus restrictions. Even using the window to allow people to use their card without touching the card machine. Prices are fair given their location and lack of local competition. On wet days bring an umbrella as you'll be asked to wait outside for collection.

Felt safe giving order and waiting outside until called. Nice fish and chips

I don’t even like chippy fish, or chippy chips. But my tribe and I were hungry, and they were open, so we joined the line to see what all the other people in the queue on the corner of this busy road were waiting for.It was worth the 30 minute wait for the fish, though the burger that my daughter ordered was a basic super-processed meat thing that we wouldn’t order again. I guess kids have an expectation that all burgers will be the same, wherever you go. Go for the fish and chips!

Been wanting to try here since I arrived. However only got chance to try today and was worth the wait. Absolutely delicious. I was staying at Lochearnhead so a bit of a drive but this is the nearest chippy.Everything cooked beautifully.Thank you everyone.

Sam's fave place for chips (fishcake supper) when we're visiting Comrie, and the 9" meat feast pizza was very nice too.
