MacDonald Arms Hotel Restaurant in Perth & Kinross

Stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't recommend it more. The room was clean and cosy. The hotel was far enough away from the road for a quiet sleep but not too far from the main road into Perth. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and breakfast was perfect. Overall this was a perfect stay and will book again in the future.

First time I stayed and will be coming back, adequate room with comfy bed, nice local feel to the bar and restaurant, food was really good (I had a steak burger) but most of all the staff are really friendly and helpful. Very very good for business traveller.

Absolutely love this place for a meal and i recommend anyone looking for somewhere to eat here. (I work in a hotel) absolutely gutted its closing and it will be a severe loss to our family meals as it's the only place we love to eat thats close by. Such accomodating and lovely hosts it's sad news. And it will be sadly missed from me and my family

Excellent hotel and bar. The hotel is spotless throughout. The family who run it are so friendly. Highly recommend this bar and hotel.

The food was good the staff were really friendly and the choices of drinks good and not expensive.

Shame they stopped doing meals as it was a fabulous place for food, staff were like family, went there for about 7/8 years and haven't found another place like it as of yet.

*Waitress was absolutely great. A really lovely friendly & helpful lady* Female owner ushered us to a table when we attempted to go to the bar for a drink, saying we would have to take it straight away! and she done this to another couple who arrived 5 min's after us! There was only one other couple already in and none of the tables had a reserved sign on them so why were we asked if we had booked?! No other people arrived while we were in so I do not understand why she does this as she done exactly the same to us the last time we were in. It is VERY off putting being hearded like an animal and for that reason we will not come back 😣even tho the food was good and the male owner and the waitress are nice and friendly 😊

Stopped in for a coffee and to warm up, nice place, good coffee. The Barman even found us some scones from high tea. Bonus! Will be back.

Fantástic place to stay!! The owner was very kind and the breakfast was great. Cosy mid sized rooms. We really enjoyed our short stay!

Great village pub with rooms. Real ale available, and good food. Recommended.
