We recently stayed in Crief and visited this shop. Bought the rum truffles. They were so delicious . went back for more before we left. Best I've ever tasted Heading back up too crief tomorrow from Motherwell too buy more.

Sadly I bought paprika that tasted awful and tempura batter mix that was many months out of date. Not very friendly as I tried to engage in conversation. Maybe affected by COVID but not good reason for poor stock and lack of welcome sadly. Sorry to say.

My husband was in the shop.todayRidiculously overpriced and as for the owneravoid the grumpy sod like the plague.

Employees were not the slightest bit friendly. Items were ridiculously overpriced. Bought two bags of after dinner mints and they tasted like mildew. Lemon curd also tasted old and not worth the ÂŁ5 we paid. It's a shame since we have visited many times in the past and enjoyed what we purchased.

Lovely hamper collected. Beautifully prepared and not a bother to them to put together

Excellent choice of food from diffrent parts of the world.1st class products. Highly recommended the shop for everyday shopping

McNee’s makes the best sticky toffee pudding on the planet, the sauce is fantastic. They also make a huge range of other food, ready meals, cake , sweets, pies etc. They make fresh sandwiches with their own bread, but we bought steak Brodie’s that were straight out of the oven, lovely. We travel from Edinburgh to shop here, worth the mileage. Best of Scottish.

Good selection of produce and fantastic range of sweeties. Staff were helpful and efficient.

·

Outrageously expensive with no justification for the price in relation to taste and quality. The chocolate is bland and pales in comparison to big brand products. Prices are on par with the top of the range Marks and Spencers chocolate which is far superior. Regret spending the money, would not recommend. Also, if you're charging high on ÂŁ8 for a 150g bag of chocolate truffles, at least do some form of incentive sale.
