Highly recommend for a peaceful, relaxing environment surrounded by Scottish beauty. The lodges are outstandingly clean, warm and just what the doctor ordered for a get away from the fast lane. Mrs Sand and her family farm are really welcoming, friendly and professional.

My wife and two dogs (lab & collie) stayed in fern lodge(bluebell locally) this is an open plan style lodge that is split over two levels, fern lodge is the lower level, sleeps two on a super king bed. I imagine the upper Lodge locally known as 'apple' I think, is the same layout but reversed, so the both have there own entrance and hot tub. Apple faces onto the driveway which is the parking for both, fern lodge is more private facing onto the rest of the grounds but the other lodges don't look onto this space, there is minimal road noise, and you can here a small stream that's down the hill. the hot tub is a lovely wood fired small two seater, managed to get to a good temp in about two hours and maintains temp with minimal effort. Overall cleanliness was good, lovely hamper of some local produce, owner of property welcomed us once we settled and gave us some local places to go for food and for walks. The bathroom connects to the kitchen and bedroom, although very pretty the glass sliding door affords little privacy so you are goin to need to work around that. The shower and bath are both nice and water temp is super hot and pressure get a gold star (beware hot water temp in kitchen as unless use mixer it can burn you) . There is a kennels on site, but we couldn't hear them to much apart from feeding time, don't know how busy it was but you are as far away as could be, this allows them to offer doggy day care, at £35/dog/day(think this includes couple of walks and playtime they aren't just thrown in a kennel, but we never used service) , maybe a little steep for a day out if you have two doggos but if you want to be out full day then may be worth it. The lodge it's self is on a half decent country road connected to a working farm, means dogs on leads if your away from the lodge and be careful driving as there are tractors and cattle. Short drive to both Perth and Dundee slightly longer to St Andrews. Closest shop is a spar in Inchture which is maybe a 5 min drive, good for essentials but if you need a bigger shop asda in Dundee or tesco in Perth are plenty big. Go stocked up for a couple of days, owner left us a small milk and some butter/jam. Not a lot of storage for food in kitchen but good supply of kitchen wear. Weirdly no phone signal for us, we are with ee, but WiFi was strong enough to stream and be on Internet, smart TCS have capacity to log into streaming services allProsSecluded quiet Lodge, cosygood kitchen, fridge good size, built in oven micro and hob very good quality.Loved hot tub, simple to use.Has all essentials, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, oven/micro/hob, wine cooler(surprisingly good for beer too), bath shower and hot tubGood Internet for streaming movies at nightConsWe chose this, but you do have to drive everywhere (maybe pro as well)Thin ceiling if you have noisy neghboursNice layout but toilet lacks privacyGarden not enclosed for dogs, younger dogs need to be pegged outThis is on country road so walks close by are a little harder, speed limit is 20 into Abernyte but locals drive fast be carefulOn a seperate note we had a small dispute with owner via Holidaycottages.com which tainted our stay a lot, (full disclosure this booking was moved three times due to covid) as stated we had two dogs, owner initially stated she didn't know about this when she saw us but never said she had any issue and would normally have left a treat for the dogs she left and then must have raised it with Holidaycottages.com, who in turn left us a not so nice voicemail (due to lack of signal) demanding payment for the dogs and that we should only have one there. We phoned holiday cottages and said we not only had proof of payment but that there was an agreement for allowing both dogs, this situation was made better by the people we spoke to on the returned call and quickly resolved as a clerical error but put a damper on my wife's birthday and the rest of our stay.

Amazing stay! Wonderful host, eveything had been thought of hamper with fresh bread and scones, biscuits, butter and jam, porridge, ggs from the hosts own hens, toiletries, in case you forgot box of extras. Location is lovely, set on working farm. We stayed in snowdrop which has a bit of woodland at the back and you can hear the river and birds from the bedroom. High standard accommodation, Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Milton Farm Lodges, we would highly recommend. The secluded lodges are set within their own ground on a beautiful farm yet very accessible just 2 minutes drive off the A90, we visited Dundee during our stay which was only a 10 minute drive away, the lodges have ample free parking outside the living accommodation. The lodges are run by a lovey couple who are based on the farm and offer fantastic service including freshly cooked tray bakes. We stayed in the Bluebell lodge which was stunning, very much a premium 5 star accommodation package with large, comfortable double bed, open plan living area, fire place with logs, bbq and kitchen as well as a lovey ensuite bathroom with large bath and shower. The lodges are well equipped and come supplied with luxury features like slippers and ropes, coffee machine and hot tub.If you are looking for a secluded luxury cabin escape this is the place for you.

We have just returned home from a fantastic time at Milton Farm lodge. The lodge is so spacious, even with 6 people we never felt crowded. All the bedrooms are en-suites so saves lots of time when getting ready each day. The living area is really spacious. I especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evening with a glass of wine.Milton lodge is on a working farm which was excellent for our kids. They loved walking everyday and speaking to the cows and chickens. We took day trips from the lodge to St Andrews and Clamis Castle. All within a 30 minutes drive. There is so much to do around the area or just take time to relax in the lodge. I live in the countryside, so we loved the peace and quiet.Thank You Janice and family for providing us with such a beautiful lodge. We have made lots of fun memories with our family. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back in the future.

I could not have asked for a more perfect stay in this quaint Scottish village. I spent a lovely weekend at the lodges with my family and it was everything we wanted for a countryside break and more. It truly had a home from home feel, the owners made us feel so welcome. The lodge's decor was absolutely beautiful, it was spotless (I'm very picky!) and they are supplied with everything you should need for your stay. If you are looking for a relaxing break-away in the beautiful Scottish countryside look no further! I will definitely be returning as soon as I can!

I've stayed at these lodges numerous times and have always had a lovely experience. Spacious, clean, well equipped, and the owner is one of the nicest women you could hope to meet - always ready to go the extra mile for her guests. The lodges are situated in a lovely location that is easy driving distance to Dundee, Perth and St Andrews and you can also go to Glasgow or Edinburgh for the day quite easily too. 5 stars from me!

Milton Farm Lodges are the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break in the Scottish countryside. I have stayed here a few times now and each visit has been faultless. The lodges are always spotless and have everything we need for a comfortable stay. The owner was very helpful when we asked for advice about the local area and recommended lots of great places to visit. My friends and I will definitely be back!

Having just spent a week at Milton Farm Lodges, I can say we had a wonderful time. The lodge was beautifully appointed, with everything in it that we needed and more. Janice, the owner, was very helpful and made sure our stay was a happy one in ideal surroundings. A return visit has already been booked we enjoyed it so much. The sun came too and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.
