Not stayed in the hotel, but we have eaten in the bar. The food quality is high, using local produce, well cooked, and generous portions. The log fire was going, creating a really good atmosphere, very friendly and relaxing.

Traditional pub with decent grub and pleasant service. Nice homebrew beer. Very chatty brewer at the microbrewery next door! Happy to show us his equipment and talk us through the process. Shame the wait staff wouldn't tell us which of his beers we were drinking though!

Really friendly staff, great food and a great night's sleep. There were nice little touches throughout. Definitely good value for money. There was a good selection of gluten free food available, and for breakfast they even had vegan milk.

Visited 11th February, lovely cosy pub. Had the haddock which was delicious with nice crunchy batter sadly the chips were slightly undercooked. Would visit again.

Had a lovely stay, staff friendly and attentive. Good cooked breakfast to set you up for the day. Room could do with attention but nothing major. Cosy pub with coal fire, hot food with good portion sizes, recommend the steak and ale pie and fish and chips.

·

Really cozy pub for a cold winter's day... had a great pint of the Braveheart and the Moulin Light from the brewery next door. We also had a super interesting little tour of the microbrewery by Finn, the brewer. Top man, and doing some great work in tough times.

Very nice place. An amazing Riad With super friendly owner and staff. Cozy rooms super clean and huge rooms even for the standard ones. Excellent food had dinner and breakfast. Peaceful and plenty of good vibes

Great after a day's walking! 1st beer tastes great. Diligent about Covid regulations which is slightly irritating - but correct. Own brewery which is great too. Food looked pretty good but we didn't eat there.

The pub itself was very traditional. We sampled some of the local brew which was nice. The Braveheart was my partners favourite. We were staying at the hotel so we ate at the pub and the food was very good.My only personal issue was one of the members of staff serving was quite abrupt shall we say. She made me feel quite anxious at times as I felt we were a problem but when I saw she was the same with the other customers I felt a little better but when you're away on holiday the last thing you want to feel is anxious and that you're not wanted there. The room itself was very traditional and dated but it was spotless and I actually quite liked it. You felt like you'd gone back in time a bit...... not sure where though 🤣We both slept well even though we were right above the beer garden. The floor boards were creaky but didn't disturb our sleep.Breakfast was good. Table service only.

It was nice. My mother-in-law enjoyed her creamy macaroni and chips. I liked my seafood platter but not blown away by it. At a tenner though I cani complain. Good attentive staff. I'd need to go again and try more on the menu before reviewing my rating.
