Had a lovely weekend here , staff are very friendly and helpful , hotel is spacious and ask that you follow the covid rules , the food is excellent and the dinning room is bright and cheerful , you can help yourself to tea coffee and juice and there is cereal, and if your still hungry you can have a cooked breakfast , I had smoked salmon and poached egg and it was beautifully cooked . There's plenty parking and there's a ramp at the front door for people with difficulties with steps or if you have a wheelchair .The bedrooms are clean and theres tea and coffee if you want to make your own , bed was very comfy , and we had our own bathroom with shower , our room was beside a rail line but we never heard any trains and windows were opened all weekend .Pitlochry isn't a large town but it's very nice and people are very friendly , there's lots of shops and plenty places to go it you want a coffee or a full meal . But if you need a tesco or asda for anything then you have to drive 40 mines to Blairgowrie. Will visit Pitlochry again when I have time .

Nice hotel and very friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely and the bed was comfortable. Very affordable as well, especially of you book directly with them.

The hotel was clean, spacious and tasteful in a central location in Pitlochry. The only issue was that it was impossible to sleep because the sound insulation was so poor. We were in room 9 and the inhabitants of the room above talked non stop until 2am and we could hear every word. There is no reception at night, only a phone number which it states twice can be used for emergencies only. In the end I had to confront the room above myself which I found very stressful - and then we were kept up the rest of the night by the loud snoring! We were so exhausted we missed breakfast and cancelled all of our hill walking plans for the next day. When we politely raised our issue with the hotel, in person and by email, the staff are appalling rude saying that they didn’t believe us, that other guests talking in their room was an emergency so we should have known to call them, and that the price we paid, almost £120 a night, wasn’t enough for us to complain. I know it’s been a tough year for hotels and we had been pleased to support an independent hotel, but this hotel ruined our much awaited and needed holiday. We booked the hotel based upon the good reviews so I think it’s only fair to warn others that this is the worst hotel experience we have ever had!

My better half surprised me with a night away on my birthday. After a day of working delivering letters she picked me up and drove north to Pitlochry for The Acarsaid. We checked in and we to our room which was beautiful. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with more than enough towels and enough space to swing a cat. It was nice to enter a nice warm room also. After a meal in the town we came back to sit in front of the fire with a pint of cider. Sadly there was no pear but that's fine ;) It was love to sit in front of the fire and relax but it was time to bed.We came down for breakfast and had a fully cooked breakfast, we were glad to see that the kitchen was able to cater for my other half with some gluten free options. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place itself was lovely. Would happily visit again.
