The Black Watch Bar and Croft Restaurant in Perth & Kinross

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday. Food was priced well and came quickly. Piping hot and tasty jalapeno poppers were my favourite.

We had a evening meal here before returning home the next day. The staff were pleasant enough and the food was basic pub grub. There was only three tables occupied in the restaurant. The waitress collected our plates, but we were not asked if we would like to see the desert menu, so after ten minutes i paid my bill at the bar and left.

Generous portions of good, unpretentious pub grub. We looked at quite a few restaurants local to Kenmore and decided on The Croft. Very pleased we did. We had a drink in the Black Watch Inn and walked through to The Croft. The staff were attentive and friendly. The service was efficient and we'll certainly be back the next time we are in the area.

Very accommodating and staff had an excellent sense of humour. Provided us with table service and excellent food. Beer garden in particular was nice.

We had planned to eat at another restaurant in town but found there was no table available and it struck us as a bit trendy for us anyway. So we walked to The Black Watch and enjoyed a delicious meal in the Croft Restaurant. We were seated quickly and two staff members took care of our drink and food needs. As the place filled up, those who did not have reservations were treated politely and told they could go to the pub next door to wait for a table to open--while that sounds like a normal response, we found many places in Scotland just turned people away. My steak and ale pie was savory and served with fresh vegetables as well as the chips. My husband said his macaroni and cheese was very good, as well. After dinner we stopped into the pub for a drink and the bartender was quite friendly. It was a pleasant atmosphere and everyone was nice.
