Overall I would say its ok. Kids loved it. Rooms are quite dated in need of a bit modernisation. Food is massively overpriced in my opinion 2 plain cheese pizzas and a bbq chicken x2 bottles of water and chips £60. Enjoyed our weekend away but could think of better ways of spending best part of 1k. Will not be hurrying back. The place is clean enough however I did notice the shower heads were revolting.

My wife and I stayed in one of the lodges with our two children and my mum. Lodge was incredible, very spacious, great balcony for sitting out with a coffee etc and everything you would need for a short stay was included (shortbread was lovely thanks!). Floor boards were extremely noisy on upper floor which was an issue for my mum sleeping on ground floor.However...We were disappointed with some of the activities we booked for our son. The pony ride, £10 for not even 5 minutes! I think he was taken round the perimeter twice on the pony.Sand art/plush toy making...my mum took our son along and said it was anything but plush, fairly boring for the kids.Soft play - we were quite surprised at the quality and size of the softplay. Very dark and narrow room, our son was bored after a few minutes.Inflatable slide in the swimming pool not suitable for very young children.Adventure Glen was not very well sign posted and difficult to find. Was also not worth the cost of entry. We have been to other adventure parks far superior in quality for less £. Food also costly at Adventure Glen for what it was (bring your own sandwiches).

Book everything early or miss out. Reasonable family fun lots to do but everything extra. 2 hrs childcare free every day is nice but booked solid. Beautiful scenery walks in woods

Great hotel with lovely countryside to explore. Stayed 5 nights. The staff were very friendly. A lovely evening meal in the Makal restaurant. The breakfast buffet had everything you wanted. 1 small incident in the Hub on Friday night but won't let that put me off returning.

·

Lovely hotel. Food in the Hub not great our burgers were raw in the middle. We got charged full price for food we couldn't eat. They also add 10% of your bill as a discretionary tip. We only found out after we got the receipt.

·

Great stay at a great price. Highly recommend the Victoria Spa you pay a bit extra but worth it. Breakfast was brilliant. Meal in the restaurant was good.

Attended with grandchildren to visit, Santa. Wonderful, kids loved it. Lovely experience. I was so impressed with the hotel that l am looking to go back as a treat for myself and my partner.

·

A lovely stay with the family at Christmas. Beautiful decor, the Santa's grotto was great fun, the light show was great for the kids, dinner was lovely both nights and the room was spacious and comfortable.

·

Was there for a conference. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was really nice with good veggie options. Hotel is lovely inside, a real mix of modern and traditional. The room and bed were very comfortable. Bathroom had a deep full sized bath and water pressure and temperature were great. We didn't get to partake in activities but there were heaps on offer. Would happily go back.

Absolutely amazing place to take the whole family. There is so much to do from age 0 to 99. Happy kids = happy grown ups. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny. Can't wait to come back. Amazing facilities and activities for kids + very attentive, efficient and lovely staff.
