The Horn in Perth & Kinross

End of an era :(Been going to The Horn for over 20 years and since my first visit, it's always been about the bacon rolls. Big buns stacked high with crispy, smoked streaky bacon has always been the attraction at this place - just read the previous reviews. Sadly, I stopped by last weekend and was served a roll with 4 bits of mediocre backed bacon, the fat not even remotely crispy. The whole thing was a bit dry and tasteless. So disappointed. Their other food options are okay but to be honest, I'll likely not be back.To the owner - at the time of writing there are less than 400 Google reviews of your restaurant. 310 of them mention the bacon rolls... I don't know what you're thinking!2nd star is for the service. Lady at the till was friendly.

This place looks a bit dated but honestly I think it adds to the charm - especially for those of us who have been coming for years and appreciate the nostalgia. Obviously the Horn is best known for its bacon butties which are loaded with almost an entire pack of bacon. Highly recommend stopping in by if you're on the road.

Decent place but its far from clean bit pricey for the breakfast mushrooms were uncooked tables dirty floor disgusting I live just along from it and have done for 30 years its never had a change inside very dated. The horseshoe just along the road offer more of a menu

Fantastic breakfast this morning at the horn milk bar, Lorne sausage and fried egg roll 2 slices of Lorne, also had a bacon roll 6 thick rashers of bacon on it, had an Americano also, just over a tenner great value for money in my opinion, slightly cool in restaurant but was only 1° outside still sat with t-shirt on but noticed older people sitting with coats and hats on, definitely be back good friendly service and clean.

Very basic inside but that is part of its attraction. Had a very good roll and square sausage with two slice on it. My accomplice had a jam packed link sausage roll. Lots of good traditional Scottish food options. Will continue to like this place.

Possibly the biggest bacon roll in the country. A Tayside institution that’s not changed one bit in my lifetime. Well worth the stop.

The Horn is a roadside café well known for its breakfasts... the rolls in particular have a reputation for being loaded with crispy bacon. The Horn is the place to go if you fancy a link, lorne/square sausage on a roll or, as mentioned above, a bacon roll. There probably are other items on the menu...it's just a local legend for its all day breakfast fare.The place itself is vintage. Whether the vibe is deliberate or it's just not been decorated since the sixties, is difficult to tell, but it creates a very unique ambience which would be a big shame to lose if it ever does undergo renovations.Outside the Horn is a large fiberglass highland coo that looks like it was partly responsible for a secret marijuana farm that was broken up by the police recently!Though it's an older café, there is a ramp at the front and accessibility is fairly good. I can't comment on whether there is a disabled toilet or not. Best ring ahead and check if you think you'll be needing one.I ordered a breakfast. It was all cooked to perfection, including the egg which was slightly cooked on top but nice and runny in the middle... and they even allowed me to replace a cooked tomato with an extra sausage. Stacks of bacon, as is the way of the Horn. I could probably have used a side of stents for my long suffering arteries... but as always it was great!

Always been a favourite of mine. They are extraordinarily generous with bacon an cook it crispy, which is very much to my taste. Down the years,. we always stopped by on a trip south and had a fry-up. These days, I can no longer manage to eat a full English Breakfast ! This time I made do with a scone and a pot of tea. Very nice, as ever

Walking in here felt like walking back into the 70s but not in a nice way. The whole place looks old and dated and in need of a refresh including the menu. The only vegetarian option for breakfast roll was egg, and when asked vegetarian options for cooked breakfast was told 'suppose you could have scone, beans, tomato & egg'. Ordered cheese toastie which was very nice but not worth £5, coffee was ok. Hubby had cooked breakfast which he said was ok. I wouldn't bother with breakfast again here but might pop in if passing for cakes which looked really good (and like same ones available at Fischer & Donaldson)

Always love a visit here. Best bacon roll anywhere
