The Willowgate Cafe in Perth & Kinross

Went here for lunch yesterday. Was totally disgusted with the service we got. Or should I say we never got. We arrived at 1pm. It was quite busy when we arrived. We were given a table for 2 which was not really suitable for having lunch OK for a coffee. We asked the waitress if when another table became available could we move to it and she said of course we could. We asked her where the blackboard with the specials were on was as it says on the menu to look at the blackboard for the specials of the day. She told us there was not a blackboard. We asked her if we could have a couple of minutes more to make up our mind what we would like to eat. Meanwhile there was a table became clear and we asked the waiter if we could move and he said of course we could. Now that was 2 members of staff who knew we were waiting to be served. At 1.35 we still had not been asked what we would like to order. Another waitress came out and started to serve new customers who had just walked in the door. Well that was quite enough for us and we got up and walked out. Will certainly not be back as the service we received was shocking.

Nice little café to stop off at after the lovely riverside walk from the rail bridge.

Decent walk from Perth, lovely setting. Beautiful building. Breakfast was amazing,local butcher's ingredients and cracking price.

Don’t really understand why the kitchen was closed by 3pm when it didn’t state that anywhere i could see on the website or menu. Bit annoying.

Coffee and cake with lovely friends perfect place in the sun 🌞 or inside 😍

Had a lovely full breakfast here. Everything was cooked lovely. I hope there will be a time where with the breakfast we can choose scrambled eggs instead of fried. This is not a complaint but a personal choice. I will be back again and will enjoy the cooking again
