Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff, lovely food, really cosy bed and the views out the windows wow

Had great short break here and would stay again. Food and staff nice and hotel was very dog friendly.

Another fabulous stay at Killin Hotel. Room well decorated, clean and fresh. Food as always amazing. Lovely cosy spaces to chill out and relax and love views. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and helpful! Roll on next visit in August!

We had an excellent night at the Killin Hotel on the 12th of March, a family get together, well overdue.The staff were so friendly and worked hard to provide an excellent service, under what must be difficult circumstances.I have noticed a lot of negative feedback on review websites, complaining about various trivial matters.Rural hotels are struggling with staffing and financial problems already, without having to deal with customers moaning about grouting in bathrooms etc. If you don't want to go to a hotel with history and character, book a room in a faceless box and save yourself a rant!Good luck to the Killin Hotel and all the rural hotels in bonnie Scotland. If we don't support them, they will be gone forever...

If I could give 0 stars I would. This hotel cancelled our reservation less than one week before we arrived. We had booked it months prior. They stated they were closing down early for the winter season. After rebooking at anther hotel just down the south side of Loch Tay we were told by the locals that they had actually closed nearly a month prior. We only received 5 day notice and then had to fight for 2 months to finally get a refund. These guys are crooks. Do not stay here.

Chose this Hotel from options available on our chosen dates. Small, recently decorated double room with ensuite. Shower was a small square corner one with sliding doors and hard to get into as a plus size person. Lovely view from window overlooking river and mountains. Not doing lunches at the moment (Feb 22) but a reasonable variety of evening menu items (table needed booked and online ordering only for all food and drink - except breakfast). Breakfast slot needs booked. Help yourself to tea/coffee, toast, fruit, cereal etc and staff will take order for cooked items (vegetarian sausage available). Staff friendly. There is parking at front of hotel and it was pretty full for a weekday in low season. Space also shared with church so plan ahead if going peak season. There is a car park on opposite side of road attached to community hall but don't know if overnight is allowed

Lovely hotel, really friendly, helpful staff.Food was delicious and good size portions that were reasonably priced.We stayed in the annex which was nice, only downside was we could hear other residents, but nothing to complain about.Looking forward to a return visit.

We just popped in for an after hike beer..Rudley asked to sit and order.(Understandable as we are in a pandemic, however, don't have to be rude)We placed an order, and the person on the bar disappeared 10 minutes later he returned, gave us a look, and walked away again..We only ordered 2 pint's, and there were only 2 other clients in the bar.. (who already had drinks), so we got up and went to reception and asked for a refund..She asked why. (Rightly so)We responded that we were ignored and just wanted our money back.The receptionist went to say they only had 3 members of staff on.I work in hospitality myself, so I understand staff shortages. However, when you have no one else to serve and get ignored and spoken rudley to (over 2 pints), we just wanted to go somewhere else.Real shame! I am sure the hotel itself is lovely and when in season you don't have this kind of experience.

Food portions are good, we had to send one dinner back because it was only just warm.Staff were friendly and polite.The room we had was very small and awkward to pass someone in, the finish in the room was poor, black spots in the bath and the bathroom door has been patched up with paint, the door handle had lose screws which scratched your hand.Breakfast was average and both our blackpudding' were uncooked.For a beautiful location with plenty of walks it's a shame the hotel isn't somewhere we would like to stay again until someone puts a bit a time and effort in to it.

Taking a long deserved break and the the experience of staying at the hotel was ruined by Adam the barman. He was rude and ignorant. We had stated during our booking that some of us were vegetarians but the manager refused to offer us anything but the standard menu. If I ran my business as they run the hotel, I would be bankrupt. On a happy note, all other staff were great and took good care of us.
