Have visited Monachyle Mhor for many years and really look forward to returning. Although the food and service was exemplary as always its becoming harder to justify the cost of this little piece of luxury

Stunning spot with magnificent interiors, fantastic food & superb service. Mi only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. High recommended

If you love good food, dogs and quirkiness then this is the place for you.The food is always amazing. The setting is beautiful. I love that dogs are literally everywhere for cuddles! The fine dining experience was an unforgettable one!!! Every single dish from entree to dessert was just devine! Menu changes daily according to catch of the day, a uniquely enjoyable experience that I would definitely repeat. In addition, this hotel is extremely charming, I was blown away by their cozy setting, great attention to detail with their decor. It has a classy, yet rustic countryside charm to the common areas such as the dining and living rooms where guests can chill.

Great little hotel near Balquhidder, relaxed atmosphere with an excellent restaurant and lovely staff. Great for foodies, hill walkers and people who just want something different and to get away from the hustle and bustle. 10 out of 10

Elegant hotel in a magical setting. Food is said to be excellent. Tip- if you order scones, be prepared to wait because they bake them fresh for you.

In my humble opinion Monachyle Mhor is a world class establishment. If I could award more stars I would. The setting, the food, the staff, where do I start? The Lewis family own this and sister establishment, the nearby Mhor 84, another brill place. Monachyle Mhor sits in jaw-droppingly stunning countryside overlooking two lochs - Voil and Doine, which the hotel may own too and certainly hold the fishing rights for. - Any fellow anglers visiting the hotel should note that there are loads of game fish, including artic char to be had for @ £5 a day! Bargain or what? Tom Lewis is a charismatic individual who is a renowned chef himself, and much of the produce they use is home grown or raised. This really is a fine dining experience. They also do bar food which is also about as high a standard as you could imagine. I defy anyone to taste better soup, anywhere. My own favourite is sitting at an outside table on the massive lawn, sucking in those truly phenomenal views whilst waiting for the scones to be freshly made to order. They arrive with home made jam and cream. Fabby. All this while watching nature abound. In the rutting season (September thru October) I've heard red stags bellowing their dominance. I've stayed as well...terrific. Not cheap but always value for money. Could not rate this enough. Visit and see.

I came this weekend for the Mhor 10K race and a night at the hotel. I had one of the best experiences in my life with both. The race was very well organised, an unexpected delightful event. The hotel was welcoming. The room was ready right after the race and I could enjoy a lovely bath with all their special smelly stuff. The decoration is country rustic and original with pieces of art all over. The dinner was sophisticated with a mixture of fresh flavours that melted in my mouth nicely. I tried the red wine Malbec by the glass and it was enjoyable. The staff were helpful, friendly and diligent despite the busy time with the race and the amount of people coming and going.Definitely a place I will recommend without hesitation. I will definitely come back next year!

Stayed in the Midnight room with my wife on our "mini moon" after getting married. The room was amazing and the twin baths were fantastic. The food each evening was exceptional as was the sommelier who gave us great advice and she recommended some great wine to pair with our food.Mix all this with friendly staff and superb views and you get an incredible place to stay!
