A bar with history, one of many in Scotland. Small seating area and tables for eating. Beer choice is limited due to space but good enough als on sale. Staff are friendly and helpful

One of the best pubs in Stirling! They have a wide selection of drinks and food (during the day). The weekly entertainment is first class, with a vibrant open mic night (Wednesdays), weekly performances and pub quiz (Sunday). The staff in Tams are all sound people who know how to have a laugh and pull a perfect pint. Cannot recommend enough to locals and visitors!

It's a proper bar - good food, staff who know what they are doing and actually remember what your drinking! Sat downstairs and had the burgers, very nice and very filling. Was a Tuesday and still busy after 9 but get there a not earlier and grap a meal it's worth it!

If you visit Stirling, you need to pop in for a pint. This is a little gem of a bar, staff who k ow what they are doing and so friendly. Good beer and the food was well worth it, not even over priced which was a welcome bonus. Time it right and you may even get to listen to a live act!

A nice old-fashioned small cosy bothy bar up the hill in Baker street in the old town. Old well-worn stone flagstones, well-polished wooden bar and the like. I quite liked the rustic downstairs vibe, although at the upstairs tables there was a distinct lack of atmosphere - and decor! We ate there early on Sunday evening and were the only guests, so I'd guess the restaurant bit upstairs warms up with more customers. There were a couple of small outside tables on the pavement - brownie points for trying! And I understand there are music events and a pub quiz. The portions were a generous size, and at around £10+ for mains we all thought the value was reasonable. However the menu wasn't inspiring - just par-for-the-course pub grub: Soup, the usual sandwiches (e.g. tuna, ham, cheese, BLT etc), choice of burgers, scampi, chicken curry, Hunter's chicken etc; also various haggis dishes, sides - and others including a veggie option - plus a small dessert menu. Nothing exceptional in my opinion.Service wasn't sharp - it took around 30 minutes for our food to be served. If I'm honest, I think 3 and a half stars is about right - I thought 4 stars would have been a tad generous.

Dropped in with a mate for a few pints and a bit of lunch, enjoyed the selection of beers and we both had the spicy burger and fries. An absolutely phenomenal burger and not a stacked one with a wooden spike holding it together. Just perfect with an excellent beef patty, rocket, jalapenos and jack cheese. Best burger I've had ever. Fries cooked perfectly crisp and salted. Beer and food fantastic, good vibe and friendly staff.

Had a heartly lunch of beefburger with a haggis patty here whilst it was still quiet in the early part of the day. Good service and a homely atmosphere and decor. Would love to see it in the evening when it packs out!

It was recommended to us by our host and we were not disappointed. Food was very good and tasty. I had the Balmoral chicken and it was perfect. Nice selection of drinks as well. They also have Wednesday jam nights which we will attend later. Looking forward to it
