Good supermarket lots of excellent goods with a gr8 cafe

Sadly since the pandemic the cafe has gone downhill. It no longer offers any freshly cooked meals. Now just packets from the fridge that they heat up. Considering all the dishes they used to offer it's a real shame. What a waste of all the kitchens behind. I think the loss of the whole breakfasts and they use to make is the worst. Those little breakfast rolls in plastic are the worst off all worlds. Just down the road is a Baynes who will do you up a much better breakfast roll. Used the really like the place as the staff and food was good for the price point. Why have they done this it must cost them more to run than the make! Bring back the cooks and the menus for pity sake.

Does not serve hot cooked breakfast. You can only get sandwiches.

Absolutely disgusting. Place is a pig sty and the food takes forever to come out. Went to get a knife and fork and the cutlery was filthy, I'm talking dry gravy still covering it filthy. Pointed this out to a member of staff who disapeared into the back with a handful of still wet a soapy forks and knives and dumped them on top of the still dirty cutlery. Utter joke, managment and staff should be ashamed.

Great staff who listen to your requirements. Spotlessly clean. Bacon well done as requested. Will definitely return!

I went at about 6pm and ordered hunters chicken. The lady taking my order was lovely. I needed to ask another team member for a fork as they were all out even though there were only 2 other tables in use but they were happy enough to get me a fork. A different team member brought out the forks and I said thank you but not a single word back to me which I thought was a little rude. My Mai. Issue was the food. The hunters chicken was a mushy bit of chicken with sauce chucked on top. I know hunters chicken to have bacon and cheese with it but even without that it tasted like it was a microwave meal. Not really what I expected and felt let down by the standards.

Sainsburys cafe is atrocious if you want hot food. Even soup, chips or toasties take 1/2 an hour to come. We always go there for something to eat after our weekly shop. The last umpteen weeks have been horrendous with the time it takes after ordering and paying for food.!! Never had problems before then. Time something was done. Was extra long for some people today as they were also serving the staff Christmas lunch in another restaurant through back. Not good enough.

Coffee and cake were both good. Pity about the crumbs on the seats and dirty tables despite being very quiet.
