Visited on Friday 18 March and had an utterly delightful time. The servers couldn't do enough for us, keeping our drinks and water topped up throughout the meal, and when my friend joked about 'stealing' my husband's tablet that was served with his coffee, one of the servers overheard and quickly brought her a plate with some for her! We noticed halfway through our main course (more on that later!) that the kitchen appeared to be winding down to close and we accepted we wouldn't be having dessert (which we hadn't ordered yet) so we were surprised when the server brought us dessert menu and encouraged us to try a few dishes. We did, and by the time they were delivered the kitchen was definitely closed, but we didn't feel pressured or rushed to finish and leave. All the food was absolutely delicious, but I want to highlight the steak especially. Three out of 4 of us strung for the filet steak and it was perfectly cooked (med rare). I actually prefer rare but often order med rare because so many times I've been disappointed by the result, but the next time we visit, I absolutely will trust the chef's ability to get the steak right (again!). The onion rings, chips and whisky sauce that came with it were delightful too.All in all, we are already planning our next visit, a true hidden gem in beautiful Stirlingshire!

First time visit and hopefully not the last. Friendly warm welcome, love the interior of the pub and the food was immense. Great job guys. Also loved the fact it was dog friendly, I always have to question pubs that do not allow in dogs.

Decent food at slightly pricier points and a limited mains menu outside of burgers than other gastropubs. Service and delivery was adequate but nothing was anything to write home about, though very family friendly, warm & cozy. It's the kind of place you'd take your mum to for a stew and a gander if you've got the time and money to get here.

Visited whilst we were staying nearby. Great find. Delicious fresh food. One of the best fillet steaks I've ever had. With friendly service.

Pork burger was the best and the apple crumb was delicious. excellent service, friendly staff. Wonderful pub atmosphere would come here every night if I lived here. Just the atmosphere we were looking for in coming to Scotland.

We stopped at the Gargunnock Inn for lunch. We had just toured Stirling castle and were on our way to a whisky distillery and wanted to fill our tummies. This is relatively easy to find. It is off the main road and is kind of isolated. But it was only a detour of about 5 minutes from our route. There is a parking lot right beside the place. We were the only customers at the time. The waitress asked us where we'd like to sit and we chose right beside the warm stove. There was a wide selection of foods at reasonable prices. We chose the soup, salad, and half baguette sandwich. For £6.85 you get your money's worth! There were at least 6 different choices for sandwich fillings. I had the Brie and bacon. My sister had the coronation chicken, which tasted kind of like a curry. Both were yummy choices. The soup of the day was broccoli and veg. Again, warm and delicious. The salad was good, too. I wish I had gotten a picture of the menu or the food. The picture included is of the cosy stove we were seated by. There are restrooms. Also there is a bar area with a pool table. It was lunchtime and so we didn't go over there. They take cash and credit card. This is just a ten or so minute drive from Stirling Castle.

A fantastic place for a family meal. The place evokes warm and a traditional Scottish setup with lots of sections for individuals or family who either likes a quiet corner or a rowdy family meal. Didn't expect to find a super juicy rib eye steak done exactly what we ordered. Desserts just yummy and price is good.

A good choice of dishes available on the menu. All the food we had was very tasty and a decent real ale as well.
