Great weekend break. Staff very excellent. Meal in the restaurant was fantastic. Room was big but needs a bit of a make over. Lovely view from room over stirling.

The hygiene of this place is beyond disgusting. How would you feel about a room where the towels and bed linen haven't been washed, the cups have spots and hairs stuck to them.I once witnessed a housekeeper here dry a toilet then a glass with the same rag, so I brought my own water bottle but I really didn't expect standards to have actually slipped since then. Two light bulbs in the room were out, and various others throughout the hotel just show that distinct lack of detail to management. As a plus the guy who checked me out was very sympathetic and friendly, the people who served the steak dinner were friendly as well. However at the abysmal breakfast two staff were discussing loudly in the same room the incompetence of another staff member who refused to clean which was extremely unprofessional.Leisure staff were very friendly and helpful, and the woman performing treatments was lovely! All in all the few friendly staff may be enough to overlook the outdated duct-taped carpets but it's a matter of time before someone gets sick from the icky housekeeping.

Average. Kind and helpfull stuff but the facilities don't help. Also they have to improve their overal policy focusing on customer satisfaction. We booked the room through booking.com for an upgraded room and we got the upgraded room without the upgrade part that was not included (who can even think things like that??)

Lovely rooms, comfy bed, welcoming and friendly staff, breakfast wasn't bad, plenty of food, but I'd like rooms to be made up and replenished everyday and not only when you ask, that was one of the downside the other downside was the location but that can't be changed, otherwise all was okay and I'd recommend x

Me and my husband went for two nights 18th and 19th October the first day all we could smell was weed coming from next room from us we did ask if we could move to a different room but thay said it was fill so we couldn't do anything about it very disappointing that was the 3rd time we have been in the past we had a lovely time.

This was a fun place to stay. It was an old high school turned into a hotel. It has a restaurant and pool and other amenities too. It is also very close to everything in dow town Stirling, including the castle!

Really nice hotel. Paid extra for the king sized superior room. Had coffee/tea in the room. Really liked the tartan carpets! There was an observatory in the hotel but you weren't allowed it as a hotel guest. Breakfast was not pre-booked or a time slot but it was table service (July 2021). Couldn't get the shower or bath to run hot in the bedroom and some of the light bulbs didn't work. There was a gym and swimming pool available. The sauna, jacuzzi and steam room were not functioning due to covid. You booked a time slot for entry. Location wise it was amazing. Very close both to town and the castle. Also had an outdoor eating or drinking area. Overall, would recommend.

The room was dated ceiling damage.Bathroom shower curtain clung to you when having a shower.Booked for a sauna got cancelled due to staff shortage then at last minute reschedule we felt like cattle. Also didn't feel that we where welcomed in the proper manner it felt like here's your key get on with it.The plug sockets where sparse none at the head board for charging your phone, tablet etc. Won't be booking this again.

Good value. Covid sensible. Felt safe. Staff first class. Some breakfast items were poor (potato scones almost indigestible; sausages poor quality). Dinner lovely.
