Delicious honest food with excellent service. Honestly the best haddock and mushroom pies we’ve ever had. Thank you for keeping your prices affordable and dishing up the tastiest food! We shall certainly return!

Superb food and place. I had the steak pie with mash, which was easily the best food I have ever had in Scotland. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the place is just lovely. Cannot recommend it enough!

Great Food and serviceWe had a great meal in the bar with our dog. Very impressed with attention to health and safety under current restrictions.Food was good and hearty and you are advised that it takes a little longer as everything is made fresh to order.Staff were really friendly and attentive so a great experience

Stopped here for lunch. Lovely meals for adults & kids, smoked salmon starter was probably the best salmon I've ever had with a lovely salad & dressing, mushroom & spinach pie was divine, others had steak pies which were tasty, kids meals were generous & tasty (fish & chips), relaxed atmosphere in a lovely area, took a short walk along the nearby cycle route after as was so full!

Really nice food and good service no rushing even though we were in at last orders. Good beer. Dog friendly.

Great good and great service with an extremely friendly welcome. We are a family of 4 with a large dog, I rang at 1pm to reserve a table and arrived in the evening to have a table next to the open fire. All 4 of us enjoyed the food, I had the home made steak & ale pie which was filled with steak. Please go to this place if you are in the area or passing through - highly recommended⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Found it a bit disappointing after reading the good reviews. I had scampi & chips but the chips were reheats from earlier as they were very dry and not crisp, peas too were also reheats as you can tell when they are fresh. Wife had spag Bolognese which was extremely dry and served with pasta that had stuck together, served with a roll that was like a rock and charged £1.50 for. the lady who served us was very nice and chatty though.

Just went for a drink, however on seeing the food being brought out decided to have lunch. Had soup and baguette and both were amazing. Very cosy pub with open fire and friendly efficient service. Lovely atmosphere.

Popped in here last minute with 11 people and a variety of requirements. They were hugely accommodating, sorted us all out for lunch with good food and good portions, and a proper Pub atmosphere.. Good amount of parking and the beer shop next door is worth a visit. Will be coming back.

It had been a while since we had last visited here in fact before the pandemic started so we were long over due a visit here. This was always one of our favorite places to eat and they let well behaved dogs in as well which was a worry as our dog is borderline on the well behaved part. We didn't have a reservation but as we were there early enough they managed to find a table for us. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is just simply great. Very good portion sizes and the prices are very reasonable. They serve their own beer/ale. I didn't have any with the meal but when we were leaving we went into the shop next door where they have a good selection of beer and ale including there own. Needless to say the car rattled like a bottle bank every time we hit a bump on the drive home. Oh the beer was good.
