The Old Bank Restaurant in Stirling

We were directed to here by someone in the pub across the road ( there was an hours wait for food in there, so we didn't stay) ... instead we dropped into the Old Bank Restaurant and had a great lunch, the staff were friendly and made sure we were comfortable and well fed (portion size is great) ... if you are in Calendar, and are looking for some homely fare' drop in here. 😁😁😁

We popped in yesterday to get a quick bit to eat as the weather was awful. It was the best decision we made all day, the food was amazing and the staff were lovely. The real open fire was very welcoming.

Always stop here when in Callander, really cosy place with open fire, especially in winter. Good wholesome food, always lovely soup and chunky bread on the go. Spotlessly clean with everything cleaned as soon as a table is cleared. Definitely recommend.

An extensive menu and friendly service. Food is tasty and they even serve high tea later in the afternoon at the weekend. The children's platter was brilliant for our little girl and the staff made a real effort to engage with customers

Food was really nice good balanced menu selection all setup for covid rules. The staff were helpful and friendly, also offer children's menu, steadily busy short wait this time for table, will visit again

The old bank restaurant is clean staff pleasant enough product is of good quality however the chef ???? feels chopped raw garlic on cooked mushrooms and tomato is an essential part of a traditional breakfast even when requested not to do so . Our breakfast was inedible we left without paying and would never eat in this establishment again.

Lovely cakes and great food. I ordered a high tea (available 1600 to 1800) and for 14.50 you get a giant stack of cakes, main course and a hot drink. Amazing value for money and a great standard of food. Nice service too. Maybe phone during covid as the opening times on Google seem incorrect.
