My partner and I stayed one night here while walking the Rob Roy Way. The hotel is well appointed and in a fairly remote location, with no other businesses nearby. So the location is very convenient for walkers that would otherwise need to arrange transport to Killin or Kenmore. The room was comfortable and clean and appears to have been recently updated.I particularly appreciated the South African dishes on the restaurant menu which were a highlight. Breakfast was also excellent with full Scottish and non Scottish options. The only disappointment was no food on offer for lunch, but I suppose this can't be helped given the difficulty finding staff these days and low traffic.

If I could give 6 stars I would. This place is a gem, My wife, daughter and I stayed here in January 21'. We we greeted by very friendly staff. Their food was amazing, both dinner and breakfast! We highly recommend his fish pie and the goats cheese avocado toast. The area around the hotel is quiet and Loch Tay is only a short walk down a path. We spent the evening down in the pub with Alan (the owner) swapping stories and having great time. I would highly recommend staying here, we certainly will again. The who hotel was very clean and the rooms have been recently renovated to a very high standard. Thanks for the drinks Alan, Rachel and I cant wait to join you and your staff again.

We were recommended the restaurant by our accommodation a short drive down the road. I booked via email and enquired about the menu which sounded fantastic. Looking forward to the fish. We were told on ordering that the entire restaurant menu was unavailable due to chef not having stock. Very disappointing. Only Bar menu available. Very limited options. We ordered steak medium rare. And i like a rare steak but..It arrived raw. Stone cold in the middle. We sent it back and it reappeared with thewilted sad salad garnish from under the heat lamp and a slightly more 'cooked' cold at one end and suspiciously hot only in the centre steak..so it seemed microwaved. We told the server that we weren't happy but nothing was done. The young girl that served us was lovely but it was quite shocking they didnt seem to care about our feeback or custom. Will not be returning. Shame it was my partners birthday too. A place in such a remote area should really engage and take on feedback from custom. They did nothing to improve the situation. We left unhappy, and annoyed i had paid a £60 bill for a disappointing treat meal out.

We were there on the Hogmanay package and it was great. A New Years Eve Dinner. New Years Day Brunch & 2 nights bed & breakfast. We also had dinner on New Years Day.It is a lovely hotel, the bedrooms are spacious with a beautiful shower room. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly. Looking forward to going back.

Gorgeous location next to Loch Tay. Newly reopened hotel which has been very tastefully decorated to a high standard and gives a real feel of luxury. Greet menu and food in both bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. Would recommend for a visit or for a longer stay in a tranquil environment.

I’m writing this review due to my experience with the restaurant food. Tonight I got a take away fish and chips and a sticky toffee pudding and was fairly disappointed. The best way to describe it was soggy, poorly presented and overpriced for what we received. Massive shame as we were really looking forward to it :(

Nice modern rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good beer, nice quiet location. On the pricey side but fairly priced all things considered. Think some of the past reviews are from pre refurb.

Recently reopened restaurant and bar after refurbishment (almost finished!) The staff were friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed food from both the bar and restaurant menu.
