We parked here, PAID, and rented a canoe nearby. Now they are sending threatening legal letters because they say I didn't pay quickly enough, even though they acknowledge I paid.Absolutely atrocious place. Do not park here. I would say that businesses like this need to be punished, at least by people not using them, for such horrific and predatory practices as this.

As many have written before, DON'T PARK HERE! It's nothing more than a money making scheme. The car park is managed by a third-party company who has placed exceedingly stringent parking rules. In my case, in the time it took me to go in a exchange a bill for change, I was deemed in breach. I appealed both directly and with the independent court of appeals and was denied. The hotel know this and they know that a significant number of people going about there business are going to fall foul of the rules through no fault of there own. There is no other place to park nearby and so customers have no alternative! I for one will never be going back to the hotel or campsite and would encourage others to spread there word.

Avoid at all costs. It's a scam.We stopped at the hotel for lunch. WE PAID the parking in cash at the parking machine. We had lunch at the hotel bar. We spent about 1 hour there and then we got the car back and left. After 3 weeks we receive a £100 fine with cctv photos saying we didn't pay. Of course after 3 weeks we didn't have the receipt of the payment anymore to prove we had payed. We tried to call the hotel/restaurant multiple times with no answer. We ended up paying the fine. Paying a £100 fine for a space we had payed in a place where we were customers felt like extortion. Avoid this place at any cost. Also, have a look at other reviews. Many people are reporting similar situations. These people are making money by scamming guests. Incredible.I would put zero stars if I could.

DON’T GO, IT’S A SCAM!I went there for a dinner and parked my car in their parking spaces, paid the ticket for the time I spent in their restaurant. Few weeks later I had a 100£ fine. It’s a scam. Don’t go or park in their spaces, they sent you the fine even if you have been there as a guest.

Lovely place to stay . A much needed bit of luxury whilst doing The West Highland Way. The food was great and the staff were very helpful.

Staff is lovely. Rooms are a little old-fashioned, but comfortable overall. The location of the hotel is excellent for WHW, and the view from the outside bar is stunning. Breakfast was good, packed lunch also.

DO NOT PARK HERE!!! you will get ripped off by the hotel and receive a completely unfair charge of £60 - £100 from civil enforcement. Would stop me from ever returning - who would punish their customers like this!!!

Just back from an overnight stay and really enjoyed our visit. Room was comfortable and clean. Our meal was lovely, didn't take on the 35oz tomahawk steak (maybe next time chef) but what we had was very tasty. Breakfast was great, set us up for the day. The staff do an incredible job keeping everything going as very busy in the Clansman Bar but great atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon.

Really hard-working staff with good pizzas and good location for walking. Comfy beds and decent fittings - I don't know why people expect the world from every hotel they stay in. This place does the job perfectly well and with a big friendly smile.

DON’T PARK HERE!Paid for parking and was told that if we paid custom in the bar then we wouldn’t need to worry about the pay and display. With that said we bought some coffee from the bar and got on with our day. Only to get a £100 fine in the post a week later. With a struggle to get correspondence back from the hotel regarding this unfair fine. They eventually told me to give them the details and they would “sort it out” as they have had many complaints about this recently. With no surprise the fine has not been waived.Certainly seems like the hotel use the car park as a scam. For this reason I would never visit again.Shocking way to treat customers to line their pockets.
