What a brilliant place. I went with my Wife & Daughter thinking as it was free there wouldn't be much to see, oh my goodness what an idiot. This art gallery/museum is full off artifacts & info, we will definitely be back to catch up with all the info we definitely didn't read about. The cafe is definitely worth a visit. The food, cakes & coffee are fantastic & great value for money. Staff were so friendly so will definitely be back.

Interesting exhibits of mainly local origins. There was a variety of paintings on display. Staff friendly and informative. We lunched in the cafe. Tasty and reasonably priced.

Was in Smiths cafe today with a couple of friends .Very friendly atmosphere, and although busy the food was still served to us without having to wait to long. The food arrived and can only be described as proper delicious comfort food !Very reasonably priced and great portions, and most of all - delicious!

Very good free art gallery and museum. No booking necessary. Has a history of Stirling and the Trossachs as well as other victorian artefacts.

Current Robert Mach exhibition "The Perfect Foil" is brilliant. Café and permanent exhibitions are well worth a visit anyway. (Tunnock's teacakes wrappers are put to excellent use!!!)

I highly rate this small museum. It is well run to show off local history plus giving space for an art exhibition. I enjoyed all the artefacts. You should give yourself time to enjoy this place as both inside and outside are set out well. Children can enjoy this place as well as adults. I go when I can as it's always worth seeing something interesting. Well worth a visit.

This museum is fantastic. Quirky, interesting and a great insight into Stirling and around. A good mix of historical artefacts, paintings and local interest. While the displays are a bit aged in places, this was part of the charm and discovery of the place. We were greeted by the museum Cat on entry. We will definitely visit again.

The Smith Art Gallery and Museum quickly became one of my favourite places in the city. The first time I visited, I worked my way slowly around, looking carefully at every detail. Then I came back with my summer school students, all of whom were warmly welcomed by the staff at the gallery, and we went off in search of new vocabulary. Finally, I returned but only briefly, because time was short and I wanted to refresh my memory - the pictures and how they are displayed always lift my mood, and I know that coming here will have as much of a positive impact on my day as a good coffee might. If I could ask for one thing to be added to the museum's offer it would be a simple one-page worksheet or treasure hunt that could be given to visitors (especially those on a school visit) so that they can really make the most of their time in the premises.
