My husband and our friends poped into the village in for some food. The food was good and service was great.

Heard a lot of good reports of this place but I think we were there when they were struggling for staff and they were not all smiling and dancing as the saying goes when our dinner came it was excellent so that made up for the wait. 👍

Nice pub with good choice of beers and wines. Good range of food on the good value menu. Tasty soup and sandwiches suited us for a light lunch. Service was very friendly and would definitely return.

Just ate there last night and it was absolutely delicious, I had curry of the day ( Korma ) and my wife had the Steak pie , she is a bit of a Steak pie connoisseur so it was getting seriously tested , but she rated it the best she has ever tasted so that is some going , staff couldn't be more attentive and the prices are fantastic , we were not staying there but next time we are in Dunblane we will give it a try , great atmosphere very friendly so I thoroughly recommend it .

I ordered takeaway of kids meals: (steak pie and macaroni), lentil soup and crusty bread and cheesecake and I'm sorry to say I was decided underwhelmed with what I received. The steak pie came with chips instead of potatoes and no veg, the rice pudding ordered with it was horrible and just basically a bowl of slightly sweetened boiled rice with raspberries on top. The macaroni was dry and cold (the steak pie wasn't so no reason for it) and the soup, although lovely, wasn't served with crusty bread but rather half a burger bun cut into 3 and swimming in the melted butter that was put in the same container as hot soup! The redeeming features were the chocolate cheesecake which was top notch and the soup was tasty! Would happily sit in but for charging extra on uber eats to have corners cut with the food, cold food and getting the order wrong is pretty poor. Not a great experience for the takeaway.

After reading reviews we decided to have our dinner at the Village Inn and wasn't dissapointed. We had the roast beef and the chicken fajitas which were really tasty and large portions. Very friendly staff and would reccommend this pub for your meal
