(Mother's Day).Where to start? Meal took an hour to arrive(quoted 30/40 minutes). I had pizza. It was doughy, Luke warm and the cheese appeared to make a bolt for its life, leaving a quarter of the pizza cheese free, revealing just the base. I only ate it(leaving the part base void of cheese), because I didn't want to cause a scene. My partner was offered potatoes or chips and opted for potatoes only to be told there weren't any. There's plenty of shops around. In the time the order was taken and delivered(an hour), potatoes could have been bought, scrubbed, polished and cooked! My partners chips could also have done with a few more minutes of cooking. If the restaurant had been busy I could maybe understand but it wasn't. Maybe five parties were in at most. Certainly not value for money and won't be back.

Poor service arrived at 1.30 for a table we had booked ordered drinks at the bar & took our seat. Waited 40 minutes on menus after asking twice for them. Didn’t get our mains until 3.00pm when our mains did arrive the steak pie was not great at all tasted awful, the pastry was undercooked chips undercooked & steak pie sauce was tomato based which was not nice at all. When we complained about this the barmaid seemed to think it was funny and started smiling also when we commented on her poor service being is hospitality industry myself I expect more from service was not up to standards at all. Then after we left and had to nip back in for something the staff were bad mouthing us with other customers absolutely disgraceful saying we just wanted money off our order if that was case surely the steak pie would have been eaten but it wasn’t touched. Will not be back and certainly would not recommend to anyway if that’s how you run a business badmouth paying customers when they leave because they weren’t happy with 2 of the meals we received out of 6 baring in mind the bill still came to £105 which we paid and had already paid drinks separately before hand.

Absolutely horrendous service, had to ask twice for a menu after sitting for 40 minutes but happy for us to spend money at the bar for drinks. Lady behind the bar was very rude steak pie was horrible chips were undercooked. Fish was just battered fish but said in the menu it was a panko breadcrumb haddock fish, we let the barmaid know that we weren't to happy about about service received aswell and she didn't seem to bothered. The starter was very nice that's all I can say about this place. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Food was not great at all, had haggis spring rolls for starter that i did eat but had steak and ale pie for main course and it was horrendous. The customer service from the lady behind the bar was shocking also. Went back in for the pin for barrier and the lady behind the bar was talking about us to other customers saying that we only complained about the food for money off, we left hungry. Highly unprofessional i won't be back.

Had a lovely meal. Food was amazing as always. Place was really busy.. poor staff members were rushed off their feet but still maintained a high quality of service to the customers xx

Delicious meal, all of us thoroughly enjoyed! Catered very well for gluten intolerance, saw the chef mix the batter up fresh and was reassured by the fact they had a separate fryer. The service was very friendly and personable. Will definitely be back!

Stopped off for some dinner. Welcomed in by friendly staff, they were all wearing masks and the place was spotless. Ordered drinks at the bar and went to sit in the beer garden. Drinks were with us in minutes and our food order taken. Barman came back with card machine for us to pay and we were told that they were continuing the 'eat out to help out' scheme throughout September, which was great as a reasonably priced dinner became even better. Food was very tasty and hot. Will definitely be back during our holiday. Many thanks to all staff.
