Alfreton Hall is a country house in Alfreton, Derbyshire. It was at the heart of local social and industrial history in the county. The history of the estate goes back to Norman times, but by the 17th century it was owned by the Morewood family, who were linked to local industry, mainly in coal mining.

Lovely venue but didn't have much heating only electric blow heaters we was there all day and apart from the real fire that was lit later in the day we really felt the cold , but all said we enjoyed the wedding that we went too

Visited a wedding fayre there recently. Perfectly nice place,and it's recently been fully refurbished,although a little jaded in places.

Went for xmas trsil and see santa.Was ok but not alot to do so only stayed 1 hour

Great venue. Very disappointed by the Christmas "extravaganza" 2 Reindeer and 6 birds of prey tied to a log does not an extravaganza make. You could have any pizza you wanted as long as it was cheese and tomato or a hotdog with no veggie option. I was particularly underwhelmed. Also, I counted 3 other people wearing face masks inside out of approximately 100 attendees.

Has my daughters wedding there. Was absolutely superb. We Had the most amazing day with all the staff being so lovely. First class.

Went here for a wedding which was very good, however the disappointment came with greeting we received on arrival was cold and unwelcoming, the bedroom was cold and the cleanliness was not good overall, the water pressure dropped to virtually nil whilst taking a shower in the morning, and for the price we paid for one night did not offer value for money. Truly disappointed.

My new husband and I had our wedding here Saturday 11th September 2021 and the whole experience from start to finish was amazing, Alex and the staff were amazing, they made us and our guests feel so special, nothing to much trouble for them and the rooms were beautiful, the food was really good.A big thank you to everyone for making our day so special and especially to Alex for everything he did for us to make it wonderful.
